Got cleared for surgery today.
Dr. commented about the skimpy amt. of blood work that was done. Says the ins. cos don't want to pay anymore. My biopsy results weren't back yet. I have a follow up visit with my GI DR. in two weeks. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.

Freeport landing patterns
Depot Street Lot is good to go.
LOOOOng pull throughs , room for maybe a half dozen rigs. No reservations....
DOWNTOWN ! Next to Amtrack Station.
At exit 17 there is a visitor center on Rt 1 , big lot ,brochures from everything ! And , it's across the street from Garmin/DeLorme that has a giant spinning topographic globe in the lobby as a bonus..
Go right at the bottom of ramp.
visitor center is on the immediate left.
Day's Seafood just down the hill beyond the Ford Dealership,
and right past that is the Muddy Rudder AAAAARRRRRRRR
A bit finer dining and drinks.
The FBI is at the top of the next hill at the light , the locals call him the BFI though. You'll know when you're there....
After that it's shopping , eating , boats , LL Beans etc etc etc $$$$$$.
SO,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I'd get back on 295 at the visitor center and go 2 more exits to the Haven , turn right at the top of ramp.to 136 and then 125 ----both rights , road to Cedar Haven is a right also (that is actually straight , it's on a sharp left turn on 125) about a mile from the 136/125 intersection.
Take the toads into town .... not saying you can't go through in the big rigs , many do.Many many maany........
Guess I should have posted this on M&G.
Hmmmmmm , both.

OH , Depot St Lot is not level.
Not BAAAAD but not level.
And it is busy , may be full.
The visitor center has some truckers , but usually not many. And cheap(er) gas usually in Yarmouth on the strip just the other side of the interstate (Left at the bottom of ramp @ X17
The Garmin lot used to allow ON parking too , free to ask !
.
There's also a park-n-ride lot a bit further up route 1 from the visitor center on the left next to a building that looks like a lighthouse AND another one further still after a Hotel.
There should be enough options if one place is short in space .....
If you end up going that far , there's another chance to avoid downtown
another exit on Desert Road to then go 1 more exit to the 136/125 exit (Mallet Drive)
Toad parking plus indoor garage on the Depot lot complex.
But is an RV lot in the thick of it.
AND near Beans is Frosty's Donut Shop
Serious business I tell ya.
Check out the twists .
OK questions ?
This is all just a short drive to Cedar Haven ,, arriving at night ? Haven probably has night check ins of some kind ?

Kennebunk Rest/Service Area is the last on 95 , then 295 goes through Portland , avoid that by staying in left lane and continue on 95 to the Falmouth Spur that re connects you to 295 (or Rt 1) just beyond Portland..
Gettin' close now !

Popeye, I was thinking that we will need a place to boondock for the evening of the 10th! We will leave Terry's and Butch's area on the 10th, in the morning, and it is a 7 hour drive, give or take, so arriving in the afternoon/evening of the 10th! We check in to Cedar Haven CG on the 11th around noon! The area of that LL Bean RV lot (Grove and Depot) is a good location. So we can eat, walk around, shop, whatever? It is just for one night, and there are lots of parking lots, so I figure we can find somewhere that will have room for us!
Getting excited!
Can you go by or call the CG and ask them if I need to call them, with CC info, or if paying when we arrive is OK? I am reserved for site #14 from the 11th to the 25th of August! We are committed with very expensive plane ticket's already, so we ARE coming!
Lots of things to do and see! Rail!

And maybe see if arriving a day early at Cedar Haven is a possibility?

Rail, historically I average 50 mph on drives in the motorhome. I usually stop every couple of hours to walk the dog and to walk me. I can stop a little less and can make better time, but I am not an x truck driver.
Sure we can make it work. What is the town where your son lives? I forgot.
