Hello All,

Pinecrest has mostly permanent people and cannot accommodate us so the look continues.

Hopefully Bap has good luck checking out the CG near him so we can have a better answer. If anyone has a suggestion please feel free to speak up.

Lynne

Off street parking ea bldg. Like a little house/cabin. Well maintained.
St Croix State Park about 30-45 minutes east of casino.

Hi Tim;
Just tried to see what the availability was for next August. At the moment they will only let you book until next May. Possibly you could talk to someone when you are there and see what the 'skinny' is.

Lynne,
Two other parks that we stayed in are Elkhorn Campground right outside of Frankfort, Ky and Whispering Hills RV Park which is right outside Georgetown, KY.
They both have full hookups and a pool, also pavilions for a group gathering. Unfortunately, no cabins.
Websites are:
Elkhorncampground.com
Whisperinghillsrv.com
My opinion, of the 2, I think Whispering Hills is a newer park with a little more room. I only stayed here overnight, so we didn't use any of the facilities, but either park will suit our needs with the exception of the cabins.

Tim - I would use the list Lynne has sent out of potential attendees to talk approximate numbers. Once we decide on a location I am sure Lynne will ask for a commitment and give the campground the numbers. At that point we will be able to make our own reservations (which should have a deadline).

I checked my list and counted 13 interested. I would suggest to them 10 - 12 are to be expected.

Gordon and Tim,
That is a good idea, I am not opposed to heading to Minnesota. I talked with our friends from Ontario last week and they are thinking about doing a tour from there place in Amhertsburg, Ontario to the rockies on the Canadian side , then hit the North side of the States on the way back, so we would be in the Neighborhood by that time in August.

Morning,

Frank, I checked out the two you suggested. Sometimes these places have rental RV's set up but these two don't appear to. Will call to check for sure but we need either that or cabins.

Will keep looking. I will be busy next three weeks so may wait until after to continue unless I can squeeze some time out.

Have a nice day, Lynne

Lynne,
I'm just trying to give you options, and input from actually staying at the parks. We appreciate all that you are doing to put this all together. Any thing else we can do to help you, just let me know.

Hi All,

Frank, I like looking at the options and we still have some time. Just keep looking but we really need a cabin or rental RV for one family. I think no matter how we narrow this down to numbers there will be some people who will and or will not be able to make it. Things do happen that change our plans, mostly medical and I can only hope that we all make it.

Just have a lot going on and will be slowing tracking things down the next 3 weeks. Will get back to it but keep making suggestions and when we find a place we can add it to the list. Right now Kentucky is winning the vote.

Bap, I still have not received your vote on location. Please PM me.

Lynne

Hi All,

Bap, I sent the list out through E-mail and don't have your E-mail. If you want to PM me your address I will mail it to you.

One is Glen Elder State Park Kansas
Branson, MS America's Best Rv Resort I think is the name.
The 2 in Kentucky that do not have a lake or pool and The Cave Park that was not helpful!

Does Debbie have an E-mail I could send to? Just let me know and I will get it to you. Did you get the original list of people planning on meeting? I can mail that too.

Lynne

If my family is the only that needs a cabin please don't based the decision on if there is a cabin or not. If the majority wants a certain campground and they don't have cabins then life goes on I'm sure there will be more meet and greets
