Trip to Dentist
My student did ok with my crown. His supervising dentist had to do some of the procedure as my tooth was tricky/hard to do. It was his first time doing a crown. Wanted to stop at Teds Hotdogs as they were celebrating 92 years in business. Hot Dogs were 92cents. Something we don't eat often. The place was packed out with no parking. Went across the street to Checkers and had a nice soft fish sandwich, fries, drink and apple pie for $4.00. Stopped at Aldi for a few things. Then came home to no electric. Neighbor said it had been off for 1/2hr. The last time we were without electric DD was 2or 3yrs. old. Hauled out the Coleman lantern and kerosene heater. It is rare we loose electric. 8.30PM the electric came on. Talked to my cousin who is a Ham radio operator. Still don't know what happened. Coming home we met up with two ambulances with full sirens and a fire truck with full lights. Don't know if the above is related. Ended up taking a pain pill for tooth discomfort. Going back for the start of the last crown this Friday. Good to get it over with while the weather is cooperating. Cold weather on the way for late next week. The Hot dogs are cooked over charcoal. DD looked it up and they cook 6thousand dogs on this special day. Prayers for all receiving Chemo. Ann

Morning All! Kinda wet as the "snowstorm" we were supposed to get turned into a slushy mess , looks like it will melt by noon. Got a call last night from a friend of mine that moved to Tennessee about 18 years ago, he taught me how to drive big trucks! He also had a repair shop and I learned a lot from him. I used to sleep on a cot in the back of the shop and work on my cars at nite. gonna be nice seeing him next week as he is coming up to visit and bring his cousins Pathfinder back to Tennessee. I drove for him for years before I had a license, then he ended up driving for me years later! Funny how things work! Hope all of you are getting the care you guys need to heal, praying for you all! Bobby

Good Morning;
Bests to you Stan.
Warmer here this morning but was cloudy overnight. Supposed to have some sprinkles today. Clouds will keep the daily high down to a predicted 58. Planned pot luck for this evening has been postponed a week. We are going to an alternate location to have dinner out.
Upside is the snow pack at SLC ski areas is well above normal. Forecast for there is for more white precipitation for most of the time we will be there. Conditions are great but the problem is now access. We were there a few years ago when it sn**ed 96 inches in 5 days. Avalanches closed access to one area for 3 days. Also took out a parking lot and one wing of a hotel.
Ski box, skis, ski bags are loaded and ready to go.
Have a wonderful day.

Overcast this morning, checked radar and the rain is coming. Terry you need radar added to your weather station!
Thanks Ted, we will be fine. Hope you are improving!!!!!
Rail, best of luck! May the force be with you!!
Took a couple tylinol PM's last night, slept till 8:10!!!
Bobby, always fun to get together with old friends like that.
Sam, student dentist sounds like a good plan.
New blower wheels came from Amazon. After breakfast going to get up on the roof and replace the bad one, other is a spare. Figured I better carry one given 2 out of 3 have failed in the short time we have had the coach.
Have a great day all!

Good Morning,
Bit overcast this morning but the coffee was good. Like Gordon said, heading to another location for dinner tonight. Been there before and looking forward to going again.
Harvey, Ron said to ask you about a place in Yuma to get an oil change. We have a 2015 Equinox and it uses synthetic oil. Can't believe how expensive it is here compared to home but we need it changed so we are getting it changed.
Put the sweats back on today just for a little extra warmth. Supposed to be in the 70's by Sunday or Monday so should be able to get back on the decal painting. Need to get the awning replaced too. Time is quickly running out.

All things equal I would go with a dealer. The quick change places I don’t like because they’re all about up charges. The place where I had the oil changed in the Tracker threw me a con where the man writing up the bill shows you an example of good trans fluid vs a sample of yours and recommends a trans oil change. His example was for automatic, Tracker is stick.
I would call the dealers after checking for online coupons. Good luck

Rail it sounds like you have this with your typical can do attitude.
Ted, I think about you often. One of the best things about Yuma is it is full to the max with birds of a feather opportunities. People just find each other. Here I find lots of examples of up beat people who define beating the odds as we know them. I was talking to the eighty year old neighbor and he mentioned that his heart attack last year was the best thing to happen to him. While they were in there they discovered lung cancer and was able to nip it in the bud. As he told me that story and how he framed it caused me to think of you and the positive attitude, can do does.
Anyone that gets close to Tim please grab him by what you grab him by and tell him to give me a call.
Our rain right now is typical Yuma rain I’ve experienced here. It sounds like the sparrows are line dancing without music on the roof. At Thereabouts we would consider it heavy drizzle.
Three weeks from today we will either be on the road back to Thereabouts or close to it, things to do.

Lynne , I buy Mobil 1 at Walmart cheap, I would think any auto shop would do the oil change if you supplied the oil and just had them put the filter and labor in! If they normally charge $24.95 for 4 or 5 qts of dino oil and filter , they probably would do it for the same if you supplied the synthetic! Just a thought. Bobby

Getting your oil changed
Here in NY they won't let you supply the Filter and oil. They can't guarantee unknown parts. DH changes his own truck oil except in January. We don't have a garage. As mentioned do an internet search for oil change coupons. We used Firestone with a 20% off coupon and got something off for getting a credit card. Something we will never use. Oil change places wanted $100.00 to do an oil change. How about a mobile mechanic ? DH was going to put the Kerosene Heater back in the shed. I told him to leave it in our dinning room. Sunday the winds are predicted to be gusting at 75MPH. The Northern part of NY is going to get the worst of the storm. Power lines and trees are predicted to come down.Had to laugh NV got four inches of snow. Just about closed the entire city down. Bet you the city doesn't even own a snow plow. People were laying in it and making snow angels and snow balls. Reminds me of the time that my Husband's mother passed and his nephews came up from Florida in Feb. They went outside in a dress shirt and had fun in the snow. Another trip to the Dentist today. It is good to take advantage of a dry spell. Take care ANN
