Terri,
This all started just as casual chat, then Harley1994(the other Terri) got an old 5th wheel and tore it apart to rebuild into a toy hauler(Total Rebuild thread) and we answered questions that Terri had and made suggestions. And it snowballed from there, we found out that we had a lot in common. Now not only are we good friends but some of us spend our winters together. We try to welcome all newcomers and get them to join the group.and the discussions.

Thank you Frank... I have read all of the total rebuild and good morning. I feel like I know all of you. I enjoyed reading about your last year Yuma adventures

Tim that is one classy rig. [emoji106]
I hope to show you a pic one day soon of my '62 hooked to a vintage black/silver/chrome and red '62 Shasta travel trailer![emoji16] (haven't got the trailer yet)[emoji3]
We're still trying to get the presures right in the Dynaflow transmission. I'm about to ship some parts, or make a treck up to Brainerd to deliver them for re-chroming. Moving forward slowly, slower than I hoped but, it'll be nice when finished.
Hope you're healing well Tim.

Good morning!

Yes, coach had a progressive surge protector, it and the breaker did not react. Agreed on the tightening, mine are tight. The strain releifs were looose (just slid the wire out), the burned connection was loose, and found others loose for the genny and house supply. Also, the supply was tightly twisted at the connection. I think we had shoddy work here at play. New transfer box due here tomorow. I have 2 smoke detectors due here (my shore power and inverter/convert electrical components are in different compartments) that will be installed by end of day.

Nice rig Tim! Is it yours? How are you feeling?

Well, must get ready. Going for a cruise on the Cosco bay today, should be nice.

Have a great day!

L.

Well we are back home from our trip to family reunion in Woodsfield Ohio. Family dates back to 1790’s in that area. Long running reunion there 100 plus years. We stayed on a friends property way back in the boonies. Accidentally past the drive on a one lane rollercoaster road. Had to back up about a mile up very steep hills and sharp curves. Fun Fun. But we made it and the reunion was great. The camping spot was so peaceful and there were literally hundreds of butterflies all around us. Never witnessed so many. Our dog Bailey seemed to enjoy just laying outside in the shade. So here goes we are long time campers married 52 years and camped all of those years. We have had three motor homes two converted bus’s three trailers one truck camper, a camper van and a tent. We have been through most of the states. The experience’s have been wonderful the problems laughable. We winter in Florida just south of Tampa. Last couple of years we have been more stationary but most years we bounced around mostly at state parks throughout the winter. Our home is in Ohio near Akron. We park our motor home on a spot at a lake nearby. Taking trips when possible. Don & Mary spoiled Dog Bailey RVM-191 2006 National Dolphin 5355 36.5 ft. Toad- Honda CRV.

Good Morning;
Welcome Don and Mary. Always good to see more people here.

Was a good day in the bricklaying portion of the day. Got quite a bit done. Had to quit early to go to the eye doctor. He says everything is still good. Starting to get some slight hazing due to cataracts but nothing of concern.

Had some rain at 4am. With the bedroom window open the sound of rain is so soothing. Was able to turn the furnace off after needing it for two days. Now we have the windows open. Complaining about the weather variations has not done anything so . . . . . going to put my raincoat on and continue on the bricks!!!

Will be checking out the electrical connections in the next few days. Am considering smoke detectors. Other than travel the coach is plugged in constantly. I wonder if they have wifi models?

Would this problem be a big issue if the coach is plugged in but light draw only? We keep the coach plugged in but do not run any heat or AC. Prior to going camping I turn the fridge on a few days before. Other than that the inverter and battery charger are the only things running (plus the parasite draw)?

John should be contacting Tiffin about the issue. They may give him some consideration but it may alert them to issues that they are causing with shoddy work. If nothing else it may prevent the same thing happening to someone else.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

We have a 2004 National RV Dolphin 5355. We only purchased it last February. We have made several trips in it. We love it. Lots of room and storage.

Hey Lloyd,
I wish, the car is mine but not the boat. It belongs to a realtor who had it sitting in the parking lot at his office. We stopped thinking it might be for sale but no luck.

For that I would sell the PA.

electra,
I'd like to get my bumpers re chromed. Have you used the guy in Brainerd before?
Doing okay stiches are out ivpick was removed, feeling pretty good. Planning on a trip up north to Joes dads cabin for a few weeks. Have a few doc's too see before we cqn go.
Tim

Managed to get out on the course yesterday. Was in really good shape. New greens are firming up and putting is getting faster. Either that or everything was downhill (both ways)!!

Back to the paving stones.

Glad everyone is having a great time at M&G. Sad we missed the chocolate factory and lobster lunch.

More sidewalk work today. Should mow the grass again but maybe tomorrow.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.
Having a Progressive hard wired in on our rig didn't help us. But, the transfer switch was in line after the transfer switch. I didn't wire that one, I inherited it.

Our transfer switch wen, it actually caught fire. I was just lucky that I was outside and saw the smoke coming from the compartment. I was able to extinguish it with one of my two fire extinguishers. When I put the new Progressive in place I wired to be in front of the transfer switch where I thought it should be.

I love Lloyd's suggestion of a fire alarm in the electrical bay. Outstanding idea.

Tim I have not used the place in Brainerd prior. I am going on the advice of the guy working on my car. He's familiar with most all of them in the region. He feels the place in Brainerd is the best bang for buck ie: quality/cost. I'm trusting he is correct. The name is North Star Plating.
