Good Evening,

We are in Santa Fe, NM for two nights. Decided to look around the area. Went to a waterfall today and the falls were a bit of a disappointment but the view was worth the trip. If I can get my pictures to load I will post them.

Going to a train ride tomorrow in Chama, NM. Been told it is beautiful so looking forward to it. Last day for it for the rest of the season tomorrow. Will be an all day trip.

Talked with Gordon a bit ago and looking forward to seeing everyone out in Yuma. Probably Tuesday or Wednesday.

Stayed at a CG in Tucumcari, NM last night. It was a small place but nice and quiet. Gorgeous skies and views. Will definitely keep this one on the "Nice" list for future trips.

We left Wednesday and drove 417 miles the first day to a CG in Effingham, IL we stopped at last year. Nice place, wooded and quiet and only $20. for the night. Drove 469 miles on Thursday and another 441 on Friday. Today's journey here from Tucumcari to Santa Fe was only about 225 miles. And yes Ron, the winds were not very nice to us.

Jerry just checked the weather in Chama. 40 MPH wind gusts and mountain roads. 13* Not sure we will go if the report is the same in the morning. Just not willing to drive mountain roads with 40 mph wind gusts and that cold. May be heading to Yuma tomorrow instead. Supposed to be 42* tonight. We left MI to get out of the cold so not looking forward to this. It will be 23* tomorrow night here in Santa Fe. I think we will be leaving tomorrow.

Went to a local Mexican restaurant tonight and boy was the food great! Got leftovers too.

Take care everyone. Tim, my prayers are with you. Lynne

Coffee is done brewing. 45 with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 68 with mostly sunny skies. Been busy getting place ready for winter. Trees are finally getting good fall colors. Today is going to be a rest day. Maybe drive around and look at some of the fall colors.

Tim, sorry to hear about your foot. Prayers sent.

Lynne, you need to find some lower altitudes if you want warmer temperatures. Santa Fe is at 7,000'. Still a beautiful area. Enjoy the train ride. Safe Travels.

Safe travels for and prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all!

Lynne, glad the trip is going well, sorry the temps are so low. We are considering taking the same route, however will take the more southern route if temps are low. We have a few weeks yet. Perhaps we will take that route on the return. Have stops planned on each of the 3 routes we could take, with things we would like to checkout/do.

Lynne, was that campground in Tucumari a KOA? We stayed there once.Went for a walk after dinner and found a terantula (sp) walking acroos the campground road. Owner said yup, lots of them here!

It rained hard here last night as the tropical storm passed thru. No rain at the moment, but showers in the forecast. 55* currently, headed for 76*.

RonJ, we would have to drive to the mtns to see colors. Here the leaves just kinds get old, turn brown and fall. Of course they have been up since mid-March. Mtns are about 90 miles away.

Have a great day all!

L.

Good Morning everyone! Coffee was good today!

We started the day with a Express train ride to Kobe, Japan. Then went to a earthquake/sunami museum! It was not busy and we got a personal guide, it was a eye opener, for sure! Then we went up a ropeway to the top of a mountain overlooking the city and the Harbour!!! Then we went to the Harbour, and I had one of the best steaks ever! Kobi beef is so very good! Just melts in your mouth, and the taste is so good!

Lynne and Jerry, be safe, and enjoy the trip!

Tim, prayers buddy!

Everyone have a great day! ❣️ Rail!

Good morning all, 65* here in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I finally got all my tests done and will be going under the knife on Tuesday morning. I am glad to get this over with. They took me off my pain medications last Thursday in preparation. I now realize how good those meds are. I hurt in places that I never knew I hurt in.

When we got back to NW Arkansas last week I had several things to repair (as usual). My passenger side head light was out and our step well cover quit working. I found another broken wire leading to the well motor (third time) so I just yanked the existing harness and ran new wires.

The headlight issue was puzzler. I found LED regulator (ballast) completely loose. The wires from the OEM harness have a screw on cap that pulls and holds the regulator wiring to the OEM wiring. This was completely unscrewed and hanging loose.

This cap tightens really tight and the last time I messed with it, it took pliers to loosen it. Either I had a master mechanic squirrel under the hood or some idiot tried to steel our LED lighting. I'm leaning toward the latter.

Everyone on the road keep it between the navigational beacons and Tim, take care of your self and heal up.

Good Morning;
Arrived in Yuma on Friday around noon. Setting up was the priority and just got to setting up the computer.

Trip down was interesting. First 3 days were good driving except for head winds. Some really stiff winds made the mileage really stink. Encountered some 50 mph gusts according to news. Had to step on gas going downhill a couple times. Use of jake on the steep hills was minimal in a couple instances. Last day the wind stopped and mileage went up to pretty good levels. 5.6 mpg into wind. Close to 9 when the wind stopped.

Today is a rest day. Well for a bit anyway.

Lynne and Jerry here shortly. Waiting for Lloyd, Debbie and Ron, and anyone else who wants to join us.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

I'm sure the locals were suitably
impressed with your nautical vocabulary.

Good Morning everyone! 🌞 Coffee was ok today!
For you all that are not on Facebook, I copied!

Today was Universal Studios Japan! So many people, for a Monday? The frigging lines were crazy, but we stood in the one for Harry Potter ( Forbidden Journey ) for 3 hours!!!! Wow, it was a crazy cool ride, and we all went on it, including Jiras mom Mai! Then walked around, ate at a Italian restaurant, and then it started raining! Still was a good day!

Nice trees, RonJ!

Gordon, glad you made it to RE and are getting settled in!

Charlie, hope the surgery goes well, and the Dr. has a steady hand, and a clear mind!

Lynne and Jerry, safe ride on in to RE!

Everyone have a great day! ❣️ Rail!
