Hello all,

Martha and I are safely ensconced at San Angelo State Park for the evening. We took TX 167 and TX 218 from Rio Vista. If you like narrow undulating roads with lots of 90* turns then 218 is the one you are looking for.

It is exceptionally narrow and the shoulders are washed out almost everywhere. And just for fun we had some pretty good side winds today as well. The only redeeming value of 218 is that in almost 90 miles we had very few cars coming the opposite direction. We got here at 5pm and I think my hands will finally open up now. ...whew.

We leave here tomorrow en route to our next stop which is Poncho Villa State Park along Highway 9 (departure will be after I sand the finger dents out of the steering wheel).

Ron, Be safe out there. Glad to hear your drive has been uneventful thus far.

Lloyd, that Jeep route sounds interesting.

Everyone have a good day tomorrow.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 33° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 34° with cloudy skies and a brisk wind. Put snowblower on mower. Took almost 3 hours to get it done. Should have only taken a few minutes. But I have not done it for many years. Dr. and lawyer appointments today. Then some grocery shopping. Birds have been spending a lot of time at feeders.

RonS, glad your trip is going good. If you liked Fort Stockton RV. We stopped at Benson I-10 RV Park many times it is a passport america park. I-10 blocked most of the train noise. There is a Denny's across the street that offered 20% off for people at park.

Charlie, safe travels.

Good Morning All.

Good morning everyone. 34 degrees here at Fort Stockton this morning. RonJ, the park is fine, easy on and easy off. Restaurant was closed yesterday Sunday but will be open at 730am and I think I will get breakfast before moving on to El Paso. Will crank up the coach first to see what kind of day I will be having. Probably will stay at Mission RV. Then on to Benson SKP.
Healing prayers to those in need.
Charlie and Martha, y'all got way ahead of me. Leave the light on, I will be following.

Low 32 this morning in Thereabouts. Supposed to get up to the middle fifties but this is the coldest day of the week. Low forties to middle to high sixties next seven days is the guess right now.

Charlie, does the driver’s seat have that donut hole the truckers have to pay good money for? Mine would.

Cold weather Ron, your birds look lucky.

Fair weather Ron, we’re about two weeks behind you.

Everyone else be safe and count your blessings.

Good Morning;
Cloudy and cool here at the moment. Supposed to get to high 60's.

Everyone was smiles after coming back from the Sunday Desert Run.

Spent the day chasing an electrical problem in the awning light. Seems it was an old wire causing the problem. Hope it is. Ran a new wire so the light is now working. Fingers crossed that it continues!

Have a great day.

May the best of your today be the worst of your tomorrow.

Crazy day

Saturday DH was about to cook dinner. Millenial neighbor couldn't get a Uhaul to move the last of her stuff in. DH hitched up our 5x8 utility trailer and moved a mattress and box spring. Also filled the trailer with other boxes. Sunday he had to hook up her washer. Of course the shut offs were leaking. Tighten up and will install ball valves when he feels like a cuss project. States he needs to do the same in our house. Neighbor pulled an all nighter to get the rest of her stuff moved in. Going to get braided washer hoses as her set is six years old. Her washer and dryer are in a front hallway where it gets cold. She needs to leave the interior door open to get some heat in there. A few years ago the pipes burst in the washer plumbing. Finaly got motivated with my House cleaning. Cleaning out drawers. One room at a time. Wednesday church was canceled due to the high winds and Sunday it was canceled due to the ice storm. DH drove very slowly in 4x4 all the way to drop DD off for work at HD. Many customers coming in for ice melt and ice scrapers. Two inches of snow today. I call house work insanity when you have to do the same task over and over again. Prayers for all those healing.Ann

182 days
I hope I don't have to shovel that much
Just 182 days left to go......

(I once wrote a song about hating to shovel snow , that ^ almost counts as number 2 but no cigar.)

I could cut off April and May but this IS East Coast Alaska

Sunshine and 60 in Las Cruces NM. 330pm Mountain Time. Another beautiful driving day, sunny and very little wind. Fueled in El Paso and drove right thru. Traffic was not bad. Glad to get that one over with. I have some of that Gordonitis where I made tentative plans to stop and look/see and overnight but then I just stayed on the road for another hundred or so. Cattlemans Steakhouse will have to wait for another day.,
Picture is Las Cruces KOA view site overlooking city and mountains.
