OK, here's something to get your mind out of the hospital for a few minutes.

I used the scraper tool you recommended in combination with a heat gun and the wallpaper is coming off in my coach. It is a slow, but pretty simple process. Thank you for pointing me to that tool. It holds the blade at the correct angle. Thank you!

The old wallpaper appears to be some type of vinyl. It was a textured material (tiny vertical lines) that is shrinking a bit with the heat and is leaving a sticky residue. I will worry about the residue later. What I do have to figure out is how to patch the plywood underneath the wallpaper that has some minor water damage.

The top layer of the plywood came off with the paper in one of the water damaged areas, but otherwise seems to be solid. If I understand correctly, the RV manufacturer buys the wall pieces with the luan and paper already together.

The damage was hidden underneath the wallpaper and behind the microwave.

I am concentrating on other parts of the remodel right now, but when I get further along, and you are ready, I will get to that phone call.

Everyone, enjoy the day that we have been given everyday.
I used a spray bottle of water and just misted my wall paper, waited an minute or two for it to soak through, then scraped it off in big chunks with that scraper tool.
Then I'd mist it again and scrape off all rhe remaining glue I could get off and stop there.
Get a mister water bottle sprayer so as not to soak the wood paneling too bad.

I got big globs of glue off that way, so get a roll of papertowels ready and a trashbag ready to toss the mess in.
Let it dry a day then lightly sand the wall with a jitterbug and it was ready for paste and wall paper.
Got most of my Coach done that way before I went Airborne off the roof.
Wish I had a picture of how it came out. Was going to paint and trim it out before I took the pictures for the internet.
I used a textured wall paper that looked liked it was patterened plaster.
Turned out pretty cool looking.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 29° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 42° with cloudy skies. Got a couple of small projects done yesterday. Barn and garage now have Digital Deadbolts on them. No more searching for key to get into the buildings. Both dogs drink from a rabbit water bottle. But Sassy has not figured out how to get spout turned to where she can get at it. Modified stand so that spout will not rotate out of Sassy's reach. Used in motorhome. No split water.

No plans for today.

RonS, Pebbles and Sassy need to meet.

Prayers and best wishes for all.

Good Morning All.

Had a great dinner with the group. The restaurant was really good. Food was good, service was great. Ate too much and am going into a food coma. Practicing for Christmas.

Good evening all!

Thanks Bobby!!!! We love the place, or probably would have went fulltime RVing.

Great run today, took the group on the high ridges. Big steep hills, narrow blind corners and they all came thru perfectly! The trackers ate it up!!!

Gosh Terry, that weather will be dangerous. Another huge flood!

Deb and I fly home Saturday for 2 weeks. Will be good for the holidays.

Have a great evening all!

L.

Well, I have a new Grandson!
#3 boy of 5 Grandkids for me. Melissa's 1st Grandbaby, born to her Son Joe and DIL Katherine.
Made his arrival on 8/08/2019 born at 8:08 PM and 8 seconds.
21 inches long weighing 8 lbs 15 ounces.

Their first baby. Parents have been married 8 years, 8 month and 8 days.

I told my step son it's a good thing they took him early or he would have been born at 18 lbs.

Mother is doing fine.
Joe is having a heat attack about finally being a father at 38 years old.
And yes, Momma is also 38.

I told him he was a year late.

And just to weird things up.even more with odds facts.
When my son was born in 1975 I had a broken leg.
Now as of today my 3rd grandson is born I have 2 broken legs. And grandson #2 has a broken arm.

Boys are hard on the males to birth in my family!

our cat is home.

Adel is sleeping alot. She isn't having emesis. She is on antibiotics twice a day. Every two to three daYS she gets a piill to stimulate her appetite. She is sleeping in place she never did before. The bad news is she won't eat or drink water. Today we have a vet. apt for Furby. I will bring her in to be checked for dehydration. We picked her up at 11am sat. Our vet doesn't have weekend hospital staff. This free cat is killing me $ wise. The Vet even commented that we have three cats and they all have problems. Just like us humans.!! DD and DH went to a hotel for a christmas diner. HD has this dinner every year. Melissa came home with a movie snack basket. Take care Prayers for all in need. Ann

Coffee is done brewing. 46° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with rain most of the day. Did some house cleaning yesterday. No plans for today.

Popeye, Not sure about a Dalmatian. Small dogs like my 2 Shih Tzu's with short noses do very well on the rabbit water bottle. My dogs came from 2 different breeders. Both already had them trained on the bottle at 3 months.

Curtis, congrats on grand baby. I like to spoil my 5 grand kids. They have rewarded me with 2 great grand kids. Another one due to arrive this week.

Ann, hope your cat gets better.

Good Morning All.
