I haven't been able to post on the forum the last few times I have tried ?????
I could get the reply window open and then nothing I typed would show up.
Seems to be working this time.

Terry
So cool your first trip is behind you , and the scale trip is history too.

The new cabinet and tub are looking pretty good.
That 1" lip will work , to a point. Then you might want to add those bars or a bungee or stretchy net.

Curtis
I've watched a lot of my friends pass away before me , it sucks big time.
Part of getting old I guess.

Everyone getting various operations is another part of it too.

Like Mick Jagger said : "What a drag it is getting old."

Major rain here right now too, high wind driving it horizontal>>>>>>>
The lake needs it though.
All I've sold today is some hooks and a pkg of Yamamoto worms.....nobody seems to want to go out on the lake !

So I just played a movie here in the boathouse today , 9 kids for an audience , popcorn and freeze pops (and a few pirate jokes while waiting for everybody to get settled in) were on me .

With that segway , I'll get to today's submission.

Where does a pirate throw his trash ??????????

The Gaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrbage Can.

Thanks for the kind words about my friend Ronnie. We have known this day was coming. And we did have 15 years to prepare for it. It's just that he outlived the Dr's prediction by pure stubbornness. Even though these last few years his communication was all done by e mail. He lost his speech and mobility a while back. Still it's tough to know he won't be there on the computer anymore.
And yea, we are not getting any younger.
I've been to a lot of Funerals in my life. One of the things you are expected to do when your Mom works for the Local Funeral Home. Seems my friends and Family always expected me to be their Funeral Emissary because I was used to going to them more than them.
It sure has been hot here, but the weather is supposed to go back under 100 the rest of the week. Sweater weather for us Texans. HA! I've lost another 5 lbs this week just from being outside and sweating. If I could just afford to air condition my shop!
Really though, I'm wishing I was in Missouri with my feet dangling in the White River.

Good Morning Gang,
Coffee good again this morning, watched a ground hog playing outside my dining room window this morning.
Went to Hershey yesterday, went through the Hershey Chocolate World, interesting, but what a tourist trap. Did a wine tasting at a local winery tasting room, very good, ended up buying a half a case. Also went on a tour and sampling of a local craft brewery, it was very interesting and fresh beer is always good. Ate at a local pub and had a good quiet dinner, then DW wanted to go to the Casino, so we spent a couple hours with her playing Texas Holdem, I spent a whole 2 dollars on the penny slots.
Today doing the Lancaster and surrounding Amish country siteseeing.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Ain't it the truth!

I let the cats out this morning at 5:30 and stepped outside for a moment without a shirt on. The cool air hit me and my nipples got hard!

I apologize to all you folks who just spit coffee all over your computer keys at that thought.

But, going outside has been like stepping inside a hot oven here lately. So cool air is a shock to the system.

I hear you Guys about getting old. My Ex Girlfriend, from High School, sent me that old Beatels Song "When I'm Sixty Four" last week on my 64th birthday. It was funny because she's almost a week older than me!

For the record, we have a strong and tight High School Reunion Group here from Bridgeport High. There was only 63 of us then, and we are down to 36 now. So we all stay in touch as best we can.

I grew up breaking bones and smashing into stuff doing things that my Mom hated (Motorcycles and Racing Cars), but I've yet to need any new joints. Partly because I never played contact sports when I was young, and have been active all my life. (Runner, Rock Climber and Bicycle racing) Melissa had some joints replaced in her feet right after I retired. And her knees are going to get done one of these days. (Tennis Player)

Isn't it great. And we all laughed at Lindsey Wagner and that Steve Austin Powers fella when they came out with the Bionic Person TV Shows. How little did we know they were predicting the Future.

And then there's that Hover Board thing out now! Whodda Thunk?

I guess Emporer Ming and the Flying Monkey People are next!

Oh wait, that's already happened too!

(If you got that "Ming" joke your age is showing!)

Good morning all! I just found this thread. I think I have "chatted with" most of you before. I should add, I enjoyed them all!

Rained here hard last night, started about 9:30pm, and lasted over an hour. We also needed it pretty bad. But now I will have to mow the lawn! Carolina blue sky right now, not a cloud in site. Expect it will get hot.

I still work, however 3 days a week I work from home, 2 days I travel into the office. I usually get a few mins here or there to checkout IRV2 everyday, I work in technology and spend all day on the computer.

Frank, check out Good and Plenty for dinner. Its an interesting experience. It is family style dinning, and they sit you with a group of folks who arrived about when you did. I always leave with a new friend or two! I should mention the food is good.

Curtis, very sorry for your loss. I just went through a similar event 2 weeks ago. Life long friends are so much of a part of you.

L.

We're still under dark skies this morning but the only water falling on my roof is from the trees.
Curtis
It was in the 60s and 70s the last few days but it might even get to the low 80 again !
Don't feel too bad , it's almost winter again and I'll be jealous of you in Texas !

The second half of this twofer............(and another , I missed a day)

Why did the pirate cross the ocean ??????

Cuz that's where where the easy GOLLLLLLLD was !

and

Why wasn't the pirate surprised when his parrot brought home a duck ?

Cuz he was always sayin' "Polly want a quacker"!

Good Afternoon Gang,

Got to leave w--k early since it wasn't too busy. Whew, don't like the extra days. Four is enough.

Otherwise, coffee was good this am. What kind do you like Lloyd? Some here make a pot and might drink out of it for a few days. Others have to have it fresh everyday. To each his own. I only ever make one pot (which is a cup and a half) so never have any left over.

We all come here whenever we get a moment, sometimes because the WIFI at the CG isn't good and can only get on sometimes. Popeye can attest to that. Others because they still w--k. And sometimes people are just busy.

Curtis, sorry but our friend. You'll see him again some day just hope it's not too soon. How's Melissa doing?

Bap, haven't seen anything from Pabell.

Well, going to get some stuff done so you all have a great day. Lynne

Hey guys and gals,

Thanks for asking about me Bap

We had good trip, flight was good, no major delays, did get flashed by a girl with BLUE hair in Atlanta airport though did drive from Fort Myers to Marco Island in the rain, saw at least 3 accidents on the way - all in opposite lane - one rolled over in median.

Just got internet service tonight, staying at Marriott and when you turn on device it said high speed service in your room would be $19.95 per day Went down and talked to front desk this afternoon and gentleman told me to go with it and he said I would not see it on my bill.

Haven't got to catch up on all the post yet but hope everyone is doing great, sorry about loss of your friend Curtis - no mater the circumstances it's never easy to loose a friend.

Weather has been good and I've enjoyed the downtime. Only a few calls from work but they really have tried not to bother. Spent time at pool yesterday and today, Got a nap yesterday afternoon, 1st one of those I've took in a while,

Hotel is gorgeous - can't wait for wife to finish her classes and enjoy with me - she only has 1/2 day tomorrow and Fri. - hope weather holds up for her this weekend

Here's a shot for our balcony - will post more later - good night all - pabell

Asking for prayer's

Morning, coffee was good last cup.
My brother (where we have been staying most of the summer in the MH) was in a motorcycle accident this afternoon in front of his dentist office. He had just parked his bike to go too his appointment and was standing on the sidewalk side of his bike when a van hit the bike and then my brother, the driver had a heart attack and died. My brothers bike (a Kawasaki 1300 full dressed ) ended under the van. He was air lifted to the hospital.
My brother has bleeding on the brain, a gash on his head that required 9 staples, broken tibula (sp) broken ankle, collapsed lung 3-5 fractured ribs, (has a chest tube) and for those that have had recent knee repair both tendons, I can't remember what the surgeon said they were but both sides are torn up pretty bad. The surgery went well to repair the broken leg and ankle.
He is heavily sedated and on a respirator and they will insert a pain pump when they bring him out of the drug induced coma.
The surgeon said that he can not use his leg for at least 6 weeks. I plan on staying here to help out on the farm.
I ask for prayers for my brother and for the family that lost there father. To those riders PLEASE wear a helmet.
Thank you, Tim
