Good Morning Gang,
Nice trip up to Frankenmuth, took the scenic route along Lake Erie up to Toledo, also no tolls. Route 23 was shut down due to a truck rolled over, so had a slight detour, traffic was backed up to within 1 car length of where I got off, that's how close to being caught in the traffic jam we were. Got to the campground and they sure taxed my driving skills to get into my site, trees, and other vehicles in the way. had to back in on the blind side, of course the site is angled the opposite way( there was a vehicle that was in my swing arc and the people weren't home) Anyways, had 2 guys backing me in, was within a couple inches with the TV of the trees surrounding the area, whew, the park workers that here spotting couldn't believe that I got it in.
Car show in Frankenmuth this weekend, so all kinds of Muscle cars, hot rods etc here in the park. Had to turn the furnace on this morning, was 45* out this morning, going to be in the 30's tonite (brrrrr). then back up into the 80's by the middle of the week.
Lynne,
beautiful park, see you guys next weekend, we are in site 39.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Lloyd,
So sorry about your friend, and to all the other ones that lost a loved one at these tragedies.
Bap,
I spent 27 years on the local volunteer fire dept., so I can only imagine what they went through that day, and the aftermath.
Bobby,
Glad to see that you are getting done, you need to slow down and start enjoying my friend.
Frank

Oh My GOSHK !
Finally back to home turf.
First thing.
Mom's car inspection was 2 month's overdue. Check.
Got my Straighttalk 4g LTE hotspot back in service. Check.

(I bought this thing because I know that typical campground wi-fi is so overloaded and miserably slow that a hotspot would be the only way to maintain my internet sanity !)

Long story , I'll fill you all in about it but first.......this is the number for SECOND TIER customer service , you know , where they are actually listening to you and can actually DO something to fix a problem.
1-866-806-1840. WRITE THIS DOWN

I have been using a 4GB/60day data card and the last two cards ,on the 30 day mark , every time I tried to go to a website my browser was hijacked by Verizon , datareplenish.com , telling me my account had run out and please get another card.

Well I went on campground wi-fi and checked my account balance at straighttalk.com which showed I still had 3.3GB and 30 more days...

1st tier customer service was dismal , both email and phone . The usual very faint audio and barely understandable english with major accent and endless periods on hold ...typical third world customer service just reading off a laminate of generic (reboot etc. solutions)and trying to infer that it was my device and not their software. I will say the device has worked flawlessly , on Verizon network with great coverage ,yes, even in the boathouse on the lake.....,

2nd tier was a very refreshingly loud and clear U.S. native speaking with the power to actually do something !! Within 10 minutes I was back in the groove and she gave me an extra week of time and restarted my data to the full 4GB ! Ohhhhh yeah !!! Skuh kuh kuh kuh

Replace broken watch , check.
This time it's a Timex , ya know "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'"
(I did check out a Casio that was solar powered , but as usual I found the manual was required to do anything to it and still couldn't get the correct time set sooooooooooooooo yup Timex.

Look at some more of Lloyd's great photos of my absolute favorite places , check.

So now , I'm gonna (what else?) tell a couple of pirate jokes.

What's a pirate's favorite????

State , ARRRRRRRRRKANSAS

Vegetable , ARRRRRRRRRRTICHOKE

Smoke , a CigARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

have a great day all. Weather is perfect here.

Good Afternoon All, Popeye, thanks for the # I bought a Straight Talk Hot Spot to try and the first one just wouldn't let me set it up, computer wouldn't log in to the hotspots software, so called, yup same thing you said, but she did tell me I could send it back and they would refund my money, okay but I would like a hotspot, sooo she said just buy another one, WHAT how about sending me one, nope so I purchased another and at least IT works. Frank, you need those driving tests every once in awhile wouldn't want to get out of practice right? . Wouldn't mind seeing those old cars. Everyone have a great day!

Terry
Man.........I had a spare !
It's a UMX 3G , I was having some problems with it and they said send it in for a replacement , so I did and it came the day after I left for the lake !
That took a 3:45 phone call before I could get bumped to 2nd tier !!
Well , keep the # for future use !!

Since I was leaving without one and that is why I got one in the first place , I went and bought the ZTE 4G one the day I left and switched my account over to it. I was going to be stuck with overloaded (think 500 devices with kids streaming movies and playing online video games ) campground wi-fi if I didn't !

Good Afternoon, Popeye, the one I purchased was a 3G also, just planned on a test to see if we would use it and how, then if needed would upgrade. I can certainly see why you would want one for sure.

Evening all,

Hello gang,

I sure like my hotspot on my Verizon phone. Have never had a problem with it working and when we drove the MH back from Texas used it in rest areas to look for CG's to stay at. Made it much easier. Then used it in the overworked CG also.

Got a couple pictures, one for Popeye (friend went to Vegas and saw this in a lobby of a casino and took a pic), and the other for Frank. I think this one is self explanatory Frank. See you Friday!

Evening,
It happened the other night poof my reply disappeared again. it was 3am so that might of had something to do with it... A few of us on this thread know about sleepless nights and know what I'm talking about.

9/11 yes a sad day in the history books, along with Pearl Harbor and other's. Sorry about you long time friend.

Brother Bob is doing wonderful, he found out the other day that in 2 more weeks he can take his cast, traction device, or what ever its called off, Excitement is the least I can say. It was a month ago today that I thought I might lose my brother. Again thanks for the prayers that were said by those that said them. I took him to the flea market this morning that he sells Soft Drinks at and had several friends that came to see him and a few other errands ie; ( car show,) . I took him in the 64 with the Heat on 52 degrees, he can get in and out easer and the wheelchair fits easily in the trunk.

I will have to get another coat of wax on the old gal, she has been sitting in the sun now for 3 months before Az or Fl come wintertime. I won't know what it's like to be in a S&B. I wouldn't change a thing It's been a Great Summer, and a learning experience.

Some great Pic's you guys posted looks like great places and nice too see a women driving Keep it up.
Tim
I hope this doesn't disappear... Poof

Good Morning Gang,

Cold here this morning. 44. Yuck, I hate to think about winter coming. It is suppose to heat back up tomorrow and be 80 again mid week so looking forward to that.

Frank, Bought a blow out adapter for the city water line. Looking around and finding the items (switches) needed for winterizing. Still hoping to get some warm weather (warm enough) to camp yet though. Haven't been able to get out enough yet. Deoxidizing and waxing the rig took a bit of time though but it is done.

Going to hit maybe mid 60's today so might get some more outside work done, will see. Otherwise hope everyone has a great day and stays safe.

Good morning! Sitting in my favorite chair, the big buddy is warming us up nicely and my first cup of coffee half gone. Boy! It's foggy here this morning, glad we are not on the road. It rained until the wee hours,so not really surprising. Don't you love it when your brain decides "let's not sleep tonight, instead let's think of all the things we are most worried about" Yeepers! I wish there was an off switch"
On a brighter note, football Sunday ! Seattle this morning and then BRONCOs this afternoon.
Anyone know why they always refer to the Cowboys as "Americas team"? This Canadian is puzzled?
Well, back to my coffee now, stay safe everyone

Good Morning Gang,
Yes coffee is good this morning, heat pump working like a top, nice and warm this morning. Visited with our friends from Amherstburg, Ont. yesterday and went to a late lunch with them at the famous Tony's. Didn't need to eat last night.
Lynne,
My mouth is watering already, MMMMMMM, I can taste it now. We will go through what you will need to do to get ready for winter when you get here, getting the antifreeze into the water system is the hardest part and that is not hard.
Tim,
Glad that your brother is doing so good, hope that he continues to exceed expectations on his road to recovery. I'm with you on the not missing the S&B, The only time that it is rough is when you have a project to do ,some of the campgrounds frown upon this. And it is tough sometimes to get them cleaned up.
Have a great day all,
Frank
