Fell asleep on the keyboard? That's dedication.
Well at least you haven't had a morning like ours.
Been rather exciting here the last few hours.
It's now 6:00 am and we (son, DIL, me, Coco the dog and Dougy the cat) have been up since 4 AM with Melissa.
Short version.
Melissa got sick from her lunch.
Tosses cookies and slips and falls on way to bathroom, poking small hole in head.
Everyone rushes to her aid.
She's now on the couch, color has come back. BP is back to normal and no signs of concussion. Stomach is empty.
The good part is the floors are wood so they will clean up. Bleeding stopped easy enough. She has been coherent for over an hour. She has slight headache, but otherwise OK. Gonna need a shower in a few hours, for sure. And her stomach has settled down.
I'm sitting in an office chair watching her as she rests on the couch and petting the monster cat to keep him from curling up on her to give her sympathy.
Gonna be a long day! Will keep on the lookout for signs of a concussion and all that stuff, so don't worry.
I was a RED Cross Instructor / Trainer for my Company, so I know what to look out for. Plus I have a BP & Heart Monitors with us here. And there is a Emergency Medical Center 3 blocks from here.
Maybe I'll got make a fresh pot of coffee.
Never a dull moment in my life.

Curtis,
Just had a neighbor last spring that slipped and fell going to the bathroom around 4 am she said she was fine & they went back to bed, She didn't wake up when her husband went to wake her for breakfast @ 8am, and she passed @ 11:30 that night.
JS,
Tim

Hi all y’all,
I’m preparing to leave my daughters place in LA and head back to Sierra Vista AZ today. The drive back’s a lot easier than the drive here. I’ll probably be arriving late in Sierra Vista, between the time change and not having to face a full blown afternoon LA rush hour while dead tired I just end up not being in that much of a hurry. Hopefully, my RV will be okay when I return. Sierra Vista had some cold weather and I didn’t bother with a full winterizing though I did turn off the water and disconnected the hose before I left.
Curtis, I hope Melissa’s okay. It sounds like she’s in good hands with you!

Yea Tim I'm aware of the possibilities. So far so good! I let her finally fall asleep at around 8 AM. Since she was not showing and signs of confusion and her BP & heart rate stayed normal for over 3 hours. She was able to clearly. answer some of the stupidest questions I could think of.
She will be sore and in need of a shower with me here in a few hours. Luckly her son has a big shower in his Master Bathroom with a built in bench for sitting on. I think that thing was built for morbidly obese people originally. But I think he and his little Latin hottie wife do other things in there beside bathe. If you know what I mean. Oh the joys of being younger. ( they are both in their mid 30th with no children.)
Melissa is sleeping peacefully and wakes up from time to time to turn over. A good sign!
I just got in 30 minutes of nap time so I'm good till this afternoon.
I appreciate everyone's concern.
The kids were a little freaked out and almost in panic mode until I took charge. Her son was shaking and the DIL wanted to call 911 right away. I told her to back up and be ready with her phone while I assessed her injury and condition. But wait until I could check her out. Once we got her to stop putting her lunch on the floor things improved dramatically.
I was one of the caregivers for my Mom when she was battling Cancer. So it's not anything I haven't been exposed to before.
And because of my career I don't panic easily.
We're going good to be fine. Son has taken off this week. He's the Boss so he can manage his business from the house if he needs to.
Well gotta go take her BP and all.
Take care my friends!

Morning Everyone;
Prayers to everyone who are battling issues but especially to the folks in Texas.
Curtis - give our best to Melissa. I am sure you checked her pupil reaction and are observing her closely. The fact she has been waking on a regular basis is good. I would generally wake someone on a regular basis until everything is stable. Janet slipped on a sidewalk and did a header into a tree with the top of her head. It was in the early afternoon so by the time we went to bed she was walking and talking normally as well as her eyes were equal and reactive. Stopped waking her when she got testy about getting waked up. Knew she would be OK! LOL
Enjoy the shower. Been thinking about enlarging ours.
Fell asleep at the keyboard?? I have seen folks fall asleep at dinner and have upon one occasion done a face plant on my dinner plate! Thank goodness it was a glancing blow! There was no alcohol involved but a strenuous day in the cold and then a nice warm kitchen with a big plate of food.
Tim - will be looking for you in Quartzite in January. Drive safe and "hide out" if there is any chance of adverse weather. A day or two or more late arrival is not a bad thing.
BAP - congratulations on the sale of the Airstream. I am sure it will be loved and will be "out there" as a testament to the work you and Debbie have done to bring it back to life. Anyone who is interested enough to purchase a classic will certainly take care of it.
Have a great one everybody.

Good Afternoon, Curtis, sounds like Melissa is in good hands and is healing, falls can be bad at any time, hopefully all will be good. Will put in a good word with the guy upstairs. Tim, hopefully your fixed up and the weather cleared to get underway if not sit tight it will eventually. Bap congrats on the sale of the Airstream. Prayers to all the people that have been in harms way wherever you are.

Good evening, all. We got tired of the day to day, hour to hour stuff on closing the campground in St. Peters. The whole area is having crazy flooding issues. Two interstate highways were closed within three miles of us. We relocated to Danville, Missouri. Pretty nice campground here. We will see about a schedule to use the pink poison and winterize the fiver. Glad the Airstream found a new home and out head injury patient is OK.

Evening All,
Work was slow so I asked to leave at 11:30. Really wanted to get home if I could before it started. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, it started. Snow was coming down and the wind was howeling It started to collect fast and I just took my time driving and actually took the back lesser busy roads to avoid those who drive fast no matter what.
By the time I was out of Lansing it had covered the ground. By home it was not as bad. Wind still blowing and snow coming straight across. There is 1 1/2 inches of ice/snow mix all over right now, 26 outside and supposed to be going to 40 tomorrow. Will see if I can get in in the morning. If it is still icy on the roads, I will call in. Not risking life to go to work.
Daughter works at courthouse which closed at 3:30 and told everyone to go home. Court cancelled too. Tells a lot right there. Winter has been kind so far but knew it was a matter of time. I don't like icy roads ever.
Curtis, glad Melissa seems to be fine. It's a terrible feeling when nauseated and then hitting her head on top of that makes it much worse. Poor girl.
Bap, do you and Debbie hate to see the TT that you have lovingly redone leave your care? Must be hard to let them go. Take care all. Lynne

Evening,
Well another day from hell over, We called several places to see about the KarKaddySS to get that weld fixed No takers, 1 guy we met @ tractor Supply wanted $150-200 to weld a bead 6 inches long, plus drive 60 miles RT,I told Joe pass on that one, so there we sat at Flying J. I got so discouraged that I told Joe lets just go home. Then 3 big Fords pulled in and all three had welding equipment in the bed. There is a God. Joe went to talk to them and sure enough they came and looked at it and said sure $50 bucks. So the 4 guys came over tipped the Kaddy up on end and started welding 1rod 2 rods 3 rods and then the boss said lets put a steel plate over the space more welding. 15 minutes and we were on the Hwy again heading west. I gave them a 10 dollar tip. The roads were good until we got closer to El Paso and then we hit ice still melting on the hwy man was it rough. around 4 I said lets hit a truck stop for the night. There were no places for us so back on the Hwy and 10 minutes there was a bad accident so we sat there for 30-45 minutes. We stopped at the next exit and found a parking spot in the truckers lot.
Hope tomorrow goes better.
Again THANKS for all the help.
Glad Mellissa is doing better. That is good news.
Geocritter sorry about missing ya maybe a different time.
I'm going to bed.
Everybody take care,
Tim

Tim - this will make Quartzite seem that much better. Challenges yes but it seems the two of you are able to overcome. Don't give up.

Good evening gang,
Curtis,
Tell Melissa, Rita and I hope she feels better quickly.
Tim,
Glad that you got the car caddy all fixed up. When the roads are bad, with a MH it is best to stay off of them.
Lynne,
Glad that you got off early and got home ok.
Have a good evening all,
Frank

morning,
Coffee is good
I got a good nights sleep,
Hoping the hwy is better today,
It sure was a nasty accident yesterday
1 semi truck/trailer whole front end smashed
1 pickup
3 cars
all on top of a bridge, we had to weave thru the mess. Didn't appear anybody got hurt.
Driving to fast for road conditions.
Hoping every thing goes well today I heard the roads are still rough by El Pasco, if so off the road and into a Truck stop or nice rest area.
It sure is nice to be retired no time frame for us.
Happy New Year all,
Tim
