As I sit at my desk at work, I have a huge smile on my face. I envy those of you that are retired and those that are a few short months away from those rainbows. I'm a few years away, but dream of ways I can speed it up. Happy trails, safe travels and may each stop, park, and adventure make unforgettable memories you will cherish. Pray and love each other.

Morning (or rather afternoon but I just woke up so...) It's 62 degrees here in the Ozarks and the rain has let up briefly (but should rain rather hard the rest of today and tomorrow at the very least) and I'm happy to report that despite heavy rain most of last night my unskilled work trying to patch my leaks seems to have paid off. ceiling is totally dry thanks to liberal application of plas-t-coat elastometric roof coat and at least 2 tubes of dicore self leveling rubber roof caulk., my windows are all doing a lot better as well thanks to more tubes of silicone than I imagined possible plus a good scraping out of the weep holes with a knife. Some of them leak a bit still but it all drains now regardless and I don't have water coming into the walls it looks like anymore (outside seams were totally gone on some of the windows and all windows now are caulked regardless of if it looked like they needed it or not) I even managed to totally stop the leak in my back window right at the head of my bed which really felt good.

The storms coming later tonight will be a lot nastier than last night but I'm feeling a lot more optimistic than I have been based on the results so far and it seems like I actually managed to get something right for a change and hopefully didn't throw money down a hole on all the sealing materials I bought the last few months.

It's been one hell of a learning curve so far since this is the first vehicle and the first "home" I've ever owned in my life and also the first I've ever had to try and take care of on my own. maintenance was always someone else's problem before.

Thanks everyone!

Frank, I don't think I will be full timing, but I will see you more often.

Thanks Terry, got lots of projects to go at.

Magicwoman, wave your wand. You will get to retire.

I think the 51 days will go fast. Now that reality is sinking in at work, I expect a long list of "to do's" in prep for me not being there.

Lloyd,
I am looking forward to seeing you and deb more often. I understand about not fulltiming, with your parents close by and the house and all, but you will have a place to do all those must do projects.
Frank

Well, it did get warm today (about 80F in NE FL). We have about 2-3 days before the hard rain hits.

My EPDM did not arrive yet to patch the TT roof, so it will have to be plastic, tape, and a bunch of bricks to keep the wind from blowing the plastic away. (It has done that twice so far.)

Frank: PM sent your way.

Good Morning Everyone! Coffee was good today!
Wow, take a day off, and WOW!
Lloyd, Congratulations!!! When I retired early, all my buddies were like, WHAT???? I had worked very hard to get where I was, and to do what I was doing, and they were just miffed that I would sell everything and move to Thailand! Now they are all happy for me and that it all worked out!
You will be glad you did, and not look back wondering, did I do the right thing? Most people wait too long to retire, and their health gets them before they can enjoy what they have worked so hard for! Sure, I could have waited longer to do so, and had more money saved, but I am happy, healthy, and doing great! You will have the time to finish all your project's and help with your parent's place too!
Magicalwoman, welcome!
Gordon, safe flight back home to Yuma!
MK, prayers sent for your DW!
Charles, hope your patch holds!
Terry, 81* Wow! and was it not too cold to do anything outside just a week ago?
Popeye, hope you get some of Terry's warm weather!
wschaub, glad your fix has held up for you!
Tim, did you guys make it to the Powwow?
Everyone have a great day! Rail!

Good Morning Gang,
Coffee was good this morning, golf day today, mid 80's with a nice breeze and a few scattered clouds, about as perfect as one can get.
Welcome to the forum Magicalwoman, if you have read through this thread and the Total Rebuild thread, you will see that we are like family on here.
Charles and Beverly are going to stop by tomorrow and Rita and I are excited to meet them. Hopefully we can give them good insight as to what it takes to fulltime in one of these rigs.
Well, off to the golf course, have a great day all,
Frank

Good evening, guys.

Beverly and I are in Tampa (work trip for her tonight and tomorrow morning). Then, we get to meet Frank and Rita later tomorrow. We are excited to talk to them in person and learn more about this lifestyle. Yes, we have a list of questions, but I am certain that list is just a starting point. And, I am also certain that they can tell us about things we didn't even consider. We really appreciate the opportunity!

Well, Bev is in her meetings now, so I get to relax, watch TV in the room, and browse the forum.

As a side note, I don't think I ever saw, or noticed, so many RVs along I-75 in Florida. Between parks and dealerships(?) there are hundreds and hundreds of them. I guess south Florida sure is a hot-spot (no pun intended) for RVs!

Good Evening Gang,
Lynne, have you heard from Bap? we haven't heard from him recently, and with his neck pain we want to be sure there is nothing that we can do to help.
Charles, As we baby boomers continue to retire and many of us take up the RV lifestyle you have just begun to see a drove of RV's invading central and south Florida. Talk to you tomorrow.
Frank
