Lynne, years ago Gail and I purchased a new house in The Woodlands TX. The corner of the living room had two floor to ceiling windows. Because of the sunlight there, Gail put a large potted ficus tree in that corner. Unfortunately, during the spring Cardinals would try to land in the tree and get hurt running into the window! Silly birds! We finally had to move the tree.

Good Morning All;
Good to be back in Yuma. Weather is nice. Tim and Joe are right across the road from us.
Had a strong wind last night. Will be sweeping up lots of ficus leaves on the patio. So far the day looks to be calm. Supposed to get to the mid 70 today so will be very pleasant.
Hope everyone is feeling better.
Have a great day.

Lynne, thanks for getting hold of Curtis. Yes, we are worried about Curtis, our prayers are with him.
Gordon, Glad that you re back home in Yuma and that things are returning to normal. Also glad that Tim and Joe are close by, that way they can keep an eye on you and keep you on the straight and narrow, lol.(just kidding)

Did I mention it was 82* in the coach, and 57* air coming out of the A/C!!!! great day...
Deb is away went to a baby shower, got one of my bikes out and ran some errands, Lowes, dinner, and stopped and visited some friends.... Great Day!!!

No coffee this morning but hit the road running anyways. Took the wife, youngest daughter, and my mom and went to Copperas Cove and met up with my oldest daughter and helped her move off base into her new house.....well I just drove from base to the house several times while everyone else loaded and unloaded my truck
Her mother and step father were there and her in laws as well helping so with three trucks it was only about 4 or 5 trips.
Got to buy the grandson his first toddler bed, at 16 months old he is growing up fast, now he can rest well.
Well I am beat sounds like Lloyd had a "great day" I know I did and hope everyone else did as well....

Good Morning, Everyone! Coffee is very good today!
Well, just got finished with setting up the new TV stand! I had it custom made for the spot out of teak! Wow, the guy who made it did a great job! Cost, 4500 Baht, 128 dls. ! It is 52" wide, 21" deep, 28" tall.
The other two shop's we checked at both wanted 10/11K Baht for the same thing/size! So got a great deal, and it looks great!
Lloyd, glad you had a ( Great day!!! ) Sounds like everything worked out as planed!!
Gordon, glad you got back to Yuma safe and sound! Now you and Janet, and Tim and Joe can go out to breakfast, at the restaurant I told you guys about, Brownies at 1145 S. 4th ave., will be on the left as you head south, across the street from the Tire shop!
MK, now that is the way to move!
Lynne, they say cardinal's are loved one's that have passed saying hi! Great to know Curtis is OK!
Steve, Ruidoso is a very beautiful place, home of the million dollar 1/4 horse race! I used to go that way a lot, cutting south from Amarillo, Tx. to Las Cruces, N. Mx.! Love that drive! By the way, they get a lot of snow in the winter! Some really nice CG's around there!
Mike, heck to have to go to Mc.D's for WiFi!! Good to here from you! Thanks, I am looking forward to picking her up and driving her, for sure!
Lifemember, like Lynne said, you can close the portable carports in very easy, and I have seen them turned into a lot of different things!
Everyone have a great day!! Rail!

Good Morning Gang,
Coffee is good this morning, Weather right now is great, mid 60's and sunny, about 40% chance of spotty rain this afternoon.
Lloyd,
Glad that you got the A/C charged up and ready to go.
MK,
Sounds like you had a very productive day also, happy that you are up to it.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Good Morning All,
48 this AM and going up and sitting here enjoying my coffee. Barely any wind yesterday or today and the Cardinals are still tapping on the window and singing away. No trees on the inside. Evergreens out front and in front of the one window they tap on is a bush so maybe it reflects on the window and they are trying to get in.
Other birds are out there eating away and so is the squirrel. Going to be a good day. Will check on the MH today just because I am getting impatient to open it up. Still to early but am going to set up some of the repairs and upgrades we want. Won't be too long and another month will be gone and then another and then summer!
Anyone heard from Bap? Not sure if I have a number for him still or not but will check. I'm worried about him.
I have been checking out the workamper news and other sites to see how that works for the future. Might take the first year and just play and relax and then workamp the next year. Want to do something, just not sure what.
Hope you all have a good day. Take care, Lynne

Morning
currently 58
Coffee going down smoothly,
Looks like the 80ties all next week and low's in the 60ties.
When do we turn the clocks?
We finally have the opportunity to fold out the awnings legs, been 6 years, looks kind of goofy, going to put up the sun shade today.
We have to put the flags back up, ya it was so windy the other day we had to take everything down.
We went to the Happy hour yesterday at the park. The whole row shows up. Kind of a meet and greet. That never happened at the other place. Met lots of folks. Man we really feel welcomed.
Still haven't been to the pool yet but maybe today.
Rail, never made it to the PowWow, I tried to go into Mexico that morning.
I can't believe it's been 4 months already and have to start thinking about heading home. We have a stop on the way in Oklahoma for a few day's .
That's about it from my keyboard,
Those on the road be safe, and Welcome all the newbies to iRV2
Tim

Morning all;
Lynne - you will/could be amazed at how fast the time goes with just doing the things you want to do. Now is the time to organize your hobbies for retirement.
There is a saying about retirement. "I start every day with lots of nothing to do. I do nothing all day long and get nothing done. So I still have lots of nothing to do tomorrow."
It is hard to explain but I am amazed that I was able to work and get the amount of stuff done that I did when I was working. If you take a year off you will understand. A very smart fiend of mine told me prior to retirement that once he got past the need for professional recognition he was able to enjoy retirement.
Tim - we do not change time here. Arizona does not use daylight savings and we use Arizona time in Winterhaven.
Rail - it would be great to have that kind of value and craftsmanship here. We are looking to build a desk in the MH and expect it will be in the $1000.00 range.
Have a great day everyone.

We are able to get so much done in the years before retirement because our bodies had not yet gone into retirement. Energy and drive was much higher

Afternoon All,
Called Bap / Jeff, still had a number after all and his daughter answered the phone. He and Debbie are fine but the internet not so much. That is why he has not been on.
She said they both are doing good. He will be having shots in his neck but otherwise fine. Will be back on as soon as his internet is up and running.

Good to hear that's the reason..
It's amazing how losing internet can be such a handicap !
Without it none of us would have ever met ...
Worth it's weight in gold
Any of us that get it from the cable company (along with 200 channels of movies etc.) Enjoy it now , it will not be the same when you start going fulltime RVing.
At least half of all mt posts come from Mickey Ds or Lowes or Starbucks or even the library , they give the stuff away for FREE there.

Good Morning Everyone! Coffee is good today!
Gordon, yes it is too bad everything is so costly in the states, but you might check on getting that desk made for you in Mx. I had my old car that I kept in Vegas repainted, new headliner put in, and the cost was 1/10th the cost of the U.S.! And the job was done in a timely fashion and was very good! If you can do the measuring and draw it up how you want it built, I can give you the name of someone to contact and he will know someone who can build it for you! And I am sure they can set it up to bring it to you, and install it also, if you do not want to do yourself! Just send me a PM, and I will give you the info you will need!
Here is a pic, of the TV table I had made for me here in Thailand! Rail!
