Good Morning All;
Boy oh Boy. Looking at all of the travel and camping pictures makes me want to get back on the road.

Spent several hours yesterday mowing. Mowed the neighbors yard as well. He is working in Houston and she has viral pneumonia so a little help does not hurt.

Today we are off to our motorcycle club breakfast meeting. Going to be a lovely day so time to enjoy it.

Have a wonderful day.

Coffee and is great this morning today's it's sugar cookie a little sweeter than the bourbon pecan but every bit as delicious.....

Did nothing yesterday except walk to the back of the property and check on the tree that I had chained back in September to keep from falling on the corner post....it's still standing....funny story it's a big old dead oak that died in the drought a few years back.. I cut a wedge out of it and started my back cut and got almost all the way through it and it just sat back down on my saw....that stihl 026 with a 20 inch bar just stuck there...so I chained it to another tree and pulled it enough to get the saw out and my come - along just didn't have the umph to pull it over....well then we left for vacation and when I got back well ya know I got sick so I have not been able to touch it....it's too sandy on the hill where it is to get any traction with the tractor to pull it down....lol long story but hey its all the excitement I have had in a long time.....so got to get a new come - along a bigger one...and get back on it.

Sorry for the long windedness of this post but everyone be safe and enjoy life

Hello all. We have been lucky here at the house in Round Rock and had only 7 inches of rain this week. Some places around central and se Texas got nearly two foot this last week. Lots of flooding where it has not flooded in a hundred years. Hoping all y'all are getting the rain you need. And I also am yearning to get on the road. Going to Woodward, OK the end of this month for a week. Then might cruise up to Kansas to look for a camping spot for next summer. Can't ever tell when that might come in handy.

Mk, I am looking for dead wood. I built an occasional table last Christmas with spalted American Elm. Spalted oak would be good also. If you do not know what spalted looks like, Google it for images. It is a fungus in dead wood. When you get that oak down, see if you can get a good look at the interior to see if it is spalted. I might have to help you dispose of it.

Hope all on the road are safe. Happy trails.

Hey Guys,

Happy Birthday to me

Anyway, The Ogden burned unit looks pretty good. Worse in photos than in person. If the fluid tests are good will send that one to OK and turn it into housing at the farm. Maybe a road crew rig. Overall a pretty nice coach.

The other one here looks better in the pix (shocker ) You can tell its spent a lot of time in the sun. It needs a paint job. Made an offer reflecting that and it was rejected. I could live with it as is but some parks are a bit fussy about appearance. Onward ho!

Frank that park is looking pretty nice. Where is that again? Will have to put that in my short term travel plans.

Well going to get some chow. May get up early and see what else is in town before I roll on to SacTown tomorrow. Not looking forward to that heat. Ugggh.

Rail thats a beautiful bride ya have there bud.

I'll check in at the next stop.

Love that stuff. Barn wood too. The patina in reclaimed wood is something to behold. I'll keep an eye out as Im moving about.

I have 3 big piles of dead oak one tree down and the one chained that look similar to some of the images on spalted oak....plus there are about 5 more that need to be dropped.....you all are welcome to come down and go through what I have and see if it meets your wants and needs.

Since I can't get sweaty...because it makes my picc line bandage come off...it w I ll be a while before I can get back to cleaning up the dead stuff.

Come on down...as Bob Barker and now Drew Carey say...lol

Happy Birthday Old Nut!

Okay, everyone get the rigs running, head to MK's pick up some wood, then caravan here to our place, my neighbors have a 1 year old saw mill I can use whenever I want. Sound like a plan!

That park looks very nice Frank. I may have to come visit this winter for a weekend or something.

Goooodafternoon all y’all!!!
I had a great night sleep at the Worthington glacier parking lot on my way to Valdez. It’s just a mile from Thompson Pass on the road to Valdez. It’s hard to describe just how beautiful the drive to Valdez was, Spectacular! Incredible! Fantastic! Mind-boggling! All come to mind but they’re painfully inadequate, it was that great! I was also blessed with perfect weather this entire day! However, speaking of glaciers, my internet connection here in Valdez is glacially slow so I won’t be posting any of the 70-80 photos I took today. Ah well nothing’s perfect, but sorry about the buildup. I will try to post some photos when I get to an area with better internet.
