Good Morning Gang,
Coffee is good this morning, the weather looks like it will be good today. We got a lot of rain yesterday, but not a lot of wind. Didn't get the 8" that the weather people said, probably got 4 or 5". It rained a couple times already this morning, but the sun is out now and it is clearing up.
Charles,
Hope that you survived the storm ok.
Lynne,
Good Luck on the windshield replacement, please let us know what they say about the side window.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Good Morning Everyone;
Charles - great story. I was on the edge of my seat. Good ending.
BAP - Jeff, you and Debbie are craftsmen/persons. Of the first order. Well done. Glad you started the thread. Even "gladder" I happened upon it.
Have a great day all.
P.S. - going camping this weekend and they are predicting rain. Should I wax the coach before we go?

Great job on the Scotty. I love those old tin cans. I had a 58 Mobile Scout 12 foot and loved it.

Nap, ditto what Gordon said! Wow!
Gordon, nah, do it when you get back, unless, you really need the rain, then you will get twice as much if you wax it! Rail!

Good morning, all!
Gordon, Thanks. I couldn't make that story up. I'm not that creative.
Frank, Everything here is fine. The worst for the section of the county between our two houses evidently was yesterday afternoon. The crew and I had just finished unloading our third trailer load to temporary storage for the shop equipment (about 3pm), when the skies opened. The next few hours were a combination of medium rain, then nasty, high-wind, and driving rains. The evening and overnight was quite calm with some very light rain. The city south of us by about 25 miles was under the orange and red stuff on the weather radar for many hours throughout the night. Thanks for asking.
Lynne, I didn't know about the skin pressure and hard to breathe symptoms that come along with a tornado. My wife said she did. I just heard the "train"!
Bap, Nice work on the Scotty.
Tim, Free range turkeys? They are pretty birds.
Rooster54, Hello, Lee!
Well, back to work, fun, and games. Only 3 days left to complete the move-out from the old house and shop. Still wish the new building was complete and ready for move-in, but the slab has been poured.
Everyone, have a great day!

Good Morning Gang!
Coffee is so so. Should have brought my own.
Thought I had one nailed down. Another Dynasty, this one with the big motor. My final offer was rejected this morning. Its a good thing my logic is overriding my WANT or I would have caved in and agreed to his terms. She was going to need a full set of tires within the year (dated out) and as we all know 8 tires is spendy, especially 8 of them. My offer was close to high book as she was in very good shape but I factored in the tire cost and he would not budge. There were a few other minor cosmetic issues but nothing I could not have fixed myself.
Will look around Sacramento and the Bay area today and see what I can find. Might have to spend an extra day or two here before heading north to OR.
I know, the right one will come along.
BAP Nice work as always on the Scotty. Before the Liberty Farms project took off I was seriously considering doing the same thing for older Class A DP's. There are a lot of good ones out there that with some restoration would be beauties. Just breaking even on them would have been OK. Who knows, may take one on now and then just for fun. I'd love to stop in and visit to see your work 1st hand sometime.
Lynne good luck with the window. You are in the right town for it I'm sure this exp will be much better. Be safe out there on the road.
Nice Alaska pix, forgot who that was.
All those down in FLA and the Gulf Coast stay safe, you have a rough ride ahead.
Don't tell Patty but I have to say it's nice not to get handed a to do list every day while having my coffee.
May the good lord shower you all with blessings.

Hi All!
Nice job Bap, you and Debbie made that look great. Very cool.
Oh, almost forgot. As suggested took our frig apart yesterday, took the blow gun to the chimney, burner area. Frig works perfectly on propane now.
Clear weather rest of the week here, temp working its way up to furnace level (high 90's) by Saturday Sunday. Summer is here!
At work today, 23 more days, 17 more work days.
Have a great day all!
L.

Evening All,
Coffee was good this AM sitting in our rig outside Duncan Systems. The windshield is in and it looks great! What a difference it makes when someone knows what they are doing. They looked at the side window and they were not impressed. The repair manager thought it was done by someone other than a repair shop. He said anyone who claims to do windows should have been able to fix it without a problem.
They should NOT have cut the framework, it has a screw in piece that will allow the framework to come apart for work. They used polyurethane to reinstall the window and he said they should have used a butyl product designed for side window installation. The problem with this is that if we have it taken out to fix the problem they may do more damage then if they just leave it in.
So, the manager fixed it and did not charge us. Seriously, he DID NOT charge us. He put the track in for the slider, sealed the cut seam (with the right product) and generally cleaned it up. He said everything they did they did wrong. Then he sent me an E-mail stating what they did wrong and what it would cost to repair it correctly and what kind of damage it could cause removing the window at this point. It would damage the fiberglass more than likely.
We have decided to keep it the way it is and call it good. What we originally wanted was a window we could see through so we could see the side view mirror on the passenger side. We can see through that window now.
Otherwise, we are now sitting in the Duncan RV Repair shop next door at their campground. We have a couple things we want them to check and possibly remodeling done. Going to see what they say and cost.
Bap, You and Debbie do some amazing work. I love the color combinations she comes up with. The work is just beautiful.
Frank, stay dry down there. There is an Alpha MH sitting next to us. They are here for some work.
Gordon, I agree with Popeye, wax it now, the water will bead right off.
Well, going to go get some Chinese. You all have a good night and keep safe. Lynne

Thanks for all the encouragement to wax and get wet. I will think about it. In the meantime I put the rough cut mower on and went out to tame the jungle in the back 40.
Sounds like all is being rectified Lynne. I would talk to the original fellows and suggest they give you a nice refund. Other option is to talk to BBB and whatever agency deals with shop competence.
Have a great evening.
