Evening Gang,

Sitting at the casino CG and having a good time. Jerry and I did well enough that the trip is completely paid for and taking a good amount home. Nice CG here too. New though and not much in the amount of trees so it is sunny and heats the rig up fast. Good thing the AC works well. Lake is real nice.

Jay, glad you two are having a good time and enjoying your rig. Sometimes things just work out well. Glad it did.

Goin home tomorrow, right now going to watch a movie on the new TV and enjoy the surround sound. It's been nice being away from w--k and spending time with Jerry.

Take care all, Lynne

Good Morning Everyone! Coffee very good today!
The French press and grinder is working very well, and I found some better beans, grown right here in Thailand!
Well, the A/C is still leaking into the inside of the coach! Wes, my son and I both noticed that the A/C has been banged by a tree limb at one time or another by the PO! It bent the chassis framework of the A/C, and we think that is why it is leaking inside! Also, the fins are coming off the evaporator when cleaning it! The drip pan is intact, no holes, but we are thinking that with the framework tweaked, it is letting the water be sucked out of the drip pan by the fan! He is going to check it out close when back home, and straighten if he can? But it sounds like a new A/C will fix the problem, for sure!
Frank, glad you got your CDL renewed! I let mine go when I moved over here, as I knew it would be revoked because of the physical that is tied into the CDL now. I knew getting the physical renewed just was not in the cards for me living over here now! Hard enough to renew the license, but to do both, at different times, Just not feasible! Not planning on driving Class 8 trucks anymore, anyway!
Lynne, glad you did good at the casino! Not the case most of the times! Last time we (Jira, MIL, and me) were in Vegas, while waiting for a table at a small off-strip casino, I put 21 dls in a dollar mega-bucks slot machine. First pull, hit a small amount, second pull, nothing, Jira says "cash out", third pull, Hit! triple777 , Walked away with 570+ dls!
Jay, glad you are having a great time! Sounds like Maggie and Mona are sisters!
Story? Squirrel? Bird? Where? Slap!
Everyone have a great day! Rail!

Good Morning gang,
Coffee is good this morning, although not as good as with the french press would be.
Lynne,
Glad that you are enjoying your time away, and we are happy for you that the casino is paying for your trip too.
Rail,
I can understand why you let it lapse, I will also when it becomes a hassle. Some of the states are giving the drivers of dually trucks a hard time about no DOT Physical, not so much the non commercial ones, but if you have a regular plate on them so I just want to not give them any reason to collect extra money from me (of curse it is always in the name of safety and not money).

Went for wings at the local watering hole yesterday and then played games with Rita's son and one of his friends and friends wife. It was a nice evening. Today going to breakfast wit the guy that bought my business, then meeting up with they guy who helped me work on the trucks. Also board of elections to do the absentee ballot thing. Busy, Busy, Busy, lol. It is the upper 60's right now and I am freezing.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Absentee voting at the town or city clerk's office. I did that for years while on the road ,,, best part is no long line , bad part is you don't get to make last minute changes .

Glad I at least know people that are lucky , I NEVER win and yes I have lost plenty trying.

I have been reading this thread for a couple of days. Love the way you all interact with each other and amazed that so many of you are within about 10 pages , originals to this thread. I live in south Carolina also ( Loyd) . Not a native of the state, but have been here over 20 years. I am originally a Missourian who married an air force air traffic controller. We have lived in a lot of places. After several years in the AF he was employed by the federal government and I by Kimberly Clark. We retired and moved to the Greenville area of Sc and love the climate. We have a 2007 Fleetwood revolution LE. We have a child and her 8 year old grand daughter living with us, two yorkies and an old 79 corvette that I ordered special in 1979. Plus, We both like coffee If I can find my way back here, I would like to visit with you again, if you agree . Wishing all of you the very best.

Rosie,

Welcome.

When you have a chance, add your "2007 Fleetwood Revolution LE" to your signature block, just under your name "ro_sie" so we know what you have when you ask questions about your rig. You can do that by clicking on "User CP" near the upper left on the screen. Then, select "Edit Signature."

Usually by posting once in a thread you are automatically "subscribed" to that thread and will get email notifications when a new post is made. If not, check your subscriptions (again, under "User CP") and add the email, if you want them. We don't want anyone to "get lost" and not "find their way back" here!

Goooodmorning all y’all!!!

Coffee is especially good and appropriate this morning. Yesterday I drove to Lubbock and back to visit the Silent Wings Museum dedicated to the WWII glider troops. My Dad was in the 101st Airborne for the duration of WWII and flew into combat several times in one of their Waco gliders. He didn’t talk much of his experiences but he did talk enough to capture my curiosity.

Meet the Waco CG-4 Assault Glider aka “the Flying Coffin”.

The gliders interior. It was built wide enough to carry a jeep, a howitzer or a small bulldozer as well as other equipment and men. The nose lifted up for fast loading/unloading.

The gliders were often as not towed into battle by one of these bad boys, a C-47 transport.

My Dad’s glider was being towed into battle, Operation Market Garden I believe, and it became detached over the English Channel. They tried to glide it back to Britain but ended up ditching in it and were picked up by a British fishing boat.

Anyhow, even though it was a long long long day (and I added 140 miles to the return trip by making a wrong turn ) it was well worth the trip!

Steve

PS I’m still having problems with my photo hosting site. When it gets better I’ll post more Alaska photos.

Goof Afternoon,

Rosie, welcome to the thread. You are definitely welcome. We have all made friends here, it's kind of like the old "pen pal" getting to know each other. Some of us have met and intend to do more in the future.

Back home, we were going to go to the local CG but while we were gone they got a LOT of rain and afraid we might sink and then just drag all of that mud into the rig so staying home.

Weather is beautiful, enjoying the heat and sunshine. Nothing better than sunshine!

Later peeps, keep safe. Lynne

Thanks popeye,
I'll have to check out city hall.
I went to a big box store and found a paint that is almost a perrrfect match for the rear end repairs at least the paint swatch on the can. I bought more resin, cloth, and filler. Somehow I lost the end of my Dremil and was able to find a New Style like a Drill Bit.
Okay so Monday I saw a flock of Sea Gulls coming down from Northern Minn. Then yesterday I flock of Geese were in my back yard going after the apples on the ground pretty funny watching them trying to eat a apple.
A change of season is a coming, plus highs in the lower 70ties next week,
a little more than a month till take off.
rail,
I'm still walking on the heal/ side of foot I go next week for I'm hoping the finally visit with the surgeon. It's been a month and a 1/2 since they took my toe but I'm still keeping it taped. I would hate to have it split open.

ro_sie, Welcome to u and the hubby to the forums.

Tim
