Better keep those away from me if you don't want 'em all to vanish!
I will blame it on Gordon cuz I'll probably have to fight him for dibs.....

Yup. I forgot about that one. Grandmother used that as a filling also.

No fighting for me. Wastes too much energy. We will share. We have BAP and MK as well in the corner. I think Lynne is considering it as probably is Rail, Terry, Steve, Frank, Charles, etc. . . . . . .

Need a bigger corner and more chairs.

Me and Joe and another neighbor, By the way she is now 94 we went out too see her, she has been living at her daughter's place and we haven't seen each other for 8 years we went just yesterday. Back to the start, we would all go over to our other neighbor's now 84-86 (she went too) and would make Lefsa from her mothers recipe, between Thanksgiving and Christmas 10 Lbs of potatoes. It would take us hours to do them all. Then we would divide them all up and we each would get 6 packs of 12 Lefsa's. O they were so good with butter and sugar Butter and Lingonberries. I hope to find some this Holidays.
Now I'm hungry .
Gordon did u have a thanksgiving yet?
Almost ,Tis the season!!!!

Good Morning Gang,
Trick or Treat at Magic Kingdom this evening, pool day before that, so easy day again today.
Lynne, Tim,
We hope that the park keeps its small park feel also, we will do our best to keep it that way. We hope to have all of you visit us after the park is done. Yes we will need a few more workampers when things are up and running.
Gordon,
Safe travels to you and Janet.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Goooodmorning all y’all!!!

I arrived at Moraine View yesterday at about 5pm tired and cranky from driving in the rain for the last few hours. I’d been told over the phone that, with my geezer discount, my stay would cost $15/day. When they rang it up in person it’d morphed into $20/day! Apparently, the $15/day price is only good for Illinois geezers, with me being a Texas geezer it didn’t count. Welcome to Illinois, now hand over your money! If I’d known I would’ve walked into the office with both hands in the air and my wallet between my teeth. BTW all you get for $20/day is a campsite and electricity, that’s it. I’m not a happy camper.

Nonetheless I visited with a lady friend of mine for dinner last night. Probably shouldn’t have but I quelled my tired crankiness for her sake and we had a nice evening. Today or tomorrow I hope to see the pup that’s available in nearby Chenoa, IL. My friend told me she could probably line up a few handyman jobs while I’m here to help replenish my funds, so I’ll see how that goes. However, I really need to think about completing my journey to Chicagoland.

I hope everyone here is doing well and I apologize for the rant. If nothing else it helped remind me why I no longer live in Illinois.

Steve

Hi All!

We leave Salvisa, Kentucky this morning. Headed for home. Had a great time here. Yesterday we toured a barrel factory, and the Makers Mark Distilery. Both were very interesting. I am still amazed the barrels don't leak. They make many thousands of them each day for the bourbon industry and supplu many of the brands we know.

Hope BAP is doing well. Get well soon!

Gordon, safe travels!

Showers coming into this area, looks like maybe we will be running ahead of it. We have about 380 miles to home.

Have a great day all!

L.

Evening All,

Just talked with Bap's daughter. She he is doing fine and is now home just today. He has staples down to the hump in his neck and he walked across the road today to see his Dad or FIL. Seems to be doing well and she thanked us all for prayers and said it means a lot to her Mom and Dad and her.

Just thought I would get that out to you because I know all of us have been concerned. You all take care, Lynne

Good Morning Gang,
Lynne,
Thanks for checking on Bap for us and letting us know.
Bap,
You are still in our thoughts and Prayers for a speedy , and complete recovery.
Lloyd,
We were at the Cooperage and Makers Mark a couple years ago. Glad that you guys had a good time.

Went to Magic Kingdom yesterday evening for trick or treat. GS went as Ghost Buster. This morning we are off to take an airboat ride. then tomorrow we are taking the family back to the airport and back to reality we go, Kitties will be happy to see us.
Have a great day all,
Frank
