Good morning everyone! Coffee is good today! We went to the Pacific ocean today, after a trip to a wooden doll factory! We hand painted the two dolls in the one pic, mine was on the right! Took a nice boat ride, then back to a 1200 year old Temple right on the coast that the Tsunami could not destroy! This is the area that the 2011 Tsunami hit!
The Temple was on a small island, across 3 wooden bridges!

Good morning all. Wonderful day yesterday. Mother's 97th birthday. Sister fixed fried chicken and skillet gravy. Yummy. My son and two of his daughters visited. One of the year and a half old twins had a fever and stayed home with mom. Family visited all day. Great visit with everyone and mother really enjoyed the day. Lots of phone calls from grand kids, and great grandkids, and great great grandkids. I am going home today, meeting with a moving company tomorrow and need to get bathroom remodel started in Taylor.

Rail, pictures from Japan are great. Sounds like a great trip. Yuma, everything looks like it is getting ready for what passes for winter there.

Those traveling be safe. And everyone stay well or continue healing.

Good Morning Gang,
Rail,
What a wonderful trip that you and Jira are having. Such beautiful scenery, again, thank you for sharing with us.
Ron,
We are glad that Mom had a good b'day and that you had such a good family visit.

Morning all!

50* here.

Frank, sounds like a great trip. Would be great for you guys to visit again! So from that I deducted Goldie is on a Freightliner chasis. Again, she looks great congrats!

Need to pack up from here this morning, and head home. Daughter and her husband just left. She has a job interview at 11am this morning, interviewing for charge nurse position in the ER. Lots of pressure in that job,,,, but she thrives on that stuff.

Have a great day all!

L.

Lloyd,
Yes on the Freightliner chassis. We will talk more about stopping for a visit at Carter Caves.

Goooodmorning all y’all!!!

It’s a beautiful sunny morning here in Yorkville, coffee’s great as usual. However I’m starting to miss Sierra Vista and the beautiful Huachuca Mountains that adjoin the community.

I took my pooch out for his third pheasant hunt yesterday. We did okay, though both of us need work. Trace needs work on his ability to find and flush birds within shooting range and I need work on my shooting. I can’t believe how bad a shot I am after 10 years with very little practice. The word craptastic best describes my current shooting skills. Nonetheless Trace and I came home with two pheasants so we’ll have pheasant dinners later this week. I can’t wait to turn the little scruffian loose on those tasty Arizona quail.

All and all I’m glad I made the trip to Chicagoland this fall. It’s been really great seeing the beautiful fall colors, visiting with old friends, seeing places that harbor such great memories, and eating Chicago area food that I love. I’ll be stopping in Denver on my way back and celebrating Thanksgiving with my son, his wife and my daughter. That makes the return trip special and more than just a five or six day interstate slog.

While Yuma appears to be too hot for me, it’s good to hear Tim and Joe are back in there and getting settled in.

It’s nice to read about Rail’s Asian adventures. Being tall as he is he gets to see it all even if it happens to be crowded.

Bobby it sounds like Sally needs a new doctor and maybe your old doctor needs a subpoena to explain his treatments in a court of law. It’s bad enough having to deal with incompetent service people such as mechanics, plumbers, and electricians but you expect more from the medical profession.

Frank, it’s nice to read of your excitement over your new motorhome.

Steve

Good morning friends. Coffee is fantastic and it's bright and shiny today. I've been a bit absent from the forums as of late, I've been so doggone busy.

I've really missed you guys. Will take a long time to go back through this thread and see what you all been up to.

Coming out of retirement has been an adventure to say the least. Since hanging out my shingle as a remodeling contractor again I have been getting referral business left and right. I have finally stopped accepting new work so that I can make my second trip to haul things to Oklahoma. Two more trips to go. The next one will be in December. Then I return to Washington for about 2 months and make the last trip to Oklahoma.

Will be glad when I finally have everything there and can really get busy on the things I need to do there. I may still do some remodeling work out there but not on the schedule that I have been doing as of late. Working 7 days a week 12 to 16 hours a day he's just too grueling for this old man. I know I'm younger than a lot of you but my body disagrees with the calendar.

along the way I have been asked to fix a few minor things with Maggie but there are a number of improvements I would like to make. Maybe once I get moved I'll actually have the time.

Got a screaming deal on a 5er that had a panel peel back on the front left side. Will reside the entire rig in January then put it up for sale. 1998 Komfort single slide 27ft. I already had new tires this year as well as a new AC. So if you know somebody in the market let me know.

Patty loves the new place in Washington but I hate it. It's a nice little place but it has no yard and no parking which has made things difficult to say the least. I hate spending money on storage. It's like setting fire to cash. I will admit having the grandchildren right down the street is pretty cool though. But I've been so doggone busy I still don't see them much.

I'm going to make my reservation for the meet and greet this week I will keep you guys posted in that thread which campsite. Looking forward to meeting you guys in person and seeing all your rigs.

Well there's my long-winded update. As always I'll try to be on more often. Things will slow down a little bit more as I wind down these contracts and finish up these jobs. I'm going to try to get it back to being part of my morning ritual while having coffee.

Have a blessed day

Surgery canceled

Last week I had an infection and took all my RX. The infection didn't clear up so now it is back to my specialist. My primary canceled my knee replacement surgery. I agree with his decision, however I will not be able to get on the schedule until at least Feb. Thinking about going to see a pain management specialist. Anyway I enjoy reading the good morning thread each day. Safe travels to all. Frank love you new to you motor home. Rail..cool pictures of your vacation. Prayers to all that need healing. Take care Ann

Evening All,

Jay, I sent you the e-mail about the reservations at Carter Caves to the new E-mail address. It's nice to have you back.

Well, voting tomorrow. I think we are going to have a big turn out in this country.

Weather is still holding fairly well. Anytime we are over 30 degrees I am ok. Below that I get bitchy. The colors are lovely though.

Frank, you got Goldie figured out yet? I figure you have been all over that thing by now. Has Rita figured out where she is going to put everything yet? I bet it is exciting figuring it all out. I felt that way with ours. Still do. Next year we just need to get out and use it a bit.

Popeye, where are you? Miss your sense of humor on here. Hope your Mom is ok.

Everyone take care, hug someone you love, kiss a frog, and keep safe. Lynne

Good Evening Gang,
Steve, Jay and Ann, thanks for the well wishes on Goldie.
Lynne,
I got most of my tools in today, picked smaller compartments so they are spread out from front to rear, but I am ok with that, I will know where they are.
Rita has been using liquid Gold on all the oak trim, then she is putting down drawer liners in all the drawers before we start loading things in.
Jay,
You need to slow down a little bit anyways. Glad that you are planning on coming to the Meet and Greet.
Rail,
Amazing pics my dear fiend.
Peanut had her surgeries this morning, the vet called late morning and said that she is doing very good, we pick her up Wednesday morning. We had her neutered and declawed before we move into Goldie, also she is to get all her shots and vaccines.
We just came in from a nice campfire.
Have a great night all,
Frank

Morning all!

I'm going to be away for a few days, my friend John is here visiting and camping in site #1. We found a Tandem Tow Dolly (tow his car and his Harley 3 wheeler) forsale in Jensen Beach Florida and he has struck a deal with the owner. I am going for the ride to pick it up.

Should be back Thursday or so,,,,,, 1.300 miles later!

Have a good week.
