Good Morning All;
Lynne - nice to see you back in the search. Good luck with finding a suitable unit. Cosmetic stuff like interior colors are easy to fix. May take some time and patience but what a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. Since it is finishing the change willl be really noticeable.
FGM - DW says we teach people how to treat us. Our kids have had some growing pains recently as Mom no longer caters to them plus is asking the hard questions. They can make you feel guilty but once you get past that growing up is for their own good.
Terry - bless you for your patience. Friend of ours is a motorcycle mechanic. His theory is that home fixers will work on it until it is completely broken and then take it to him and expect it to be repaired for "almost free".
Today is hip school. Looking forward to getting this past us and then it is only waiting for the actual surgery date.
Supposed to snow today and tomorrow. Inconvenient but we need the moisture. I know I keep saying that but we have not had run off for a number of years. The surface water is very low so. . . . .
Hope everyone has a grand day.

Bobby,
There are some people you just can't seem to help enough because they will never do anything to help themselves.
I leant (a friend) $4,000. eight years ago with a contract stating it needed to be paid back in 2 yrs. Of course she was still in financial problems and I let it go for a few more years. After pushing here she finally started paying me back (very slowly). Three years later she has paid just over $1,000. back and has bounced 3 checks in the process.
She sent her last check 10/3/2014 and then decided to not pay me over the holidays because she didn't have it. I decided to hire an attorney and sue her which I did. See the attorney on a Wed and I receive a check for $100 on a Fri before the letter went out from the attorney.
She is mad at me, won't talk to me, and won't even look in my direction. We work together. Oh I forgot, she got a tattoo on the Fri that cost $250. She really needed the tattoo apparently. She has bought a new car during this, a $500 dog, taken trips, and new furniture.
I decided enough was enough. She will have no choice now in paying me back. Not waiting any longer. She is mad because I am being so unreasonable and unfair to her. Really? Guess eight years seems like a fair timeframe to her. Just can't help some people.
I will never lend anyone money again. I have learned my lesson. Honor just doesn't seem to be a quality some people possess.
Hope you all had a good day, Lynne

Gordon,
I'm with Terry, hope that you and Janet got some relief from the class.
Lynne,
Glad that you have resumed your search for your new MH, wish you the best.
Having been in business myself, I understand about people and their buying things when they say that they cannot pay their debts. Hope that you get what is owed you and the attorney fees also, don't forget the interest.
Frank

Lynne, I absolutly agree with you, before we left NY I was working on the motorhome at a "friends" shop. He never had a problem charging us top dollar for anything he did for us. Came over and ate several times a week and bearly said thanks. But never had a problem calling me to come out and help him work on something or bring him gas or any of the other hundreds of times I bailed him out. He was mad I didn't just fix the rotted brake lines and take off with him to Florida in December, he wanted me to tow his car down and have Sally cook for him and pay nothing! I said I didn't think the MH was safe and he drove down, mooching off everyone he knew on the way. And bragged about it! Called me everyday as it was unusually cold and I made sure his shop didn't freeze up buying $460 of fuel oil and running the bullet heater to keep his pipes from freezing. He came back January 10th and was telling someone else while I was there that oh boy , we have heat for the rest of the season, never acknowledging the fuel bill I left on his desk. He knew damn well he didn't pay for it. Yet the few times I was short and got a 20 off him , he would remind me on seeing me the next day! Whenever he was at the shop and needed something I had at home i'd run and get it to make his life easier! Him bragging about having oil he didn't pay for was the last straw, haven't talked to him since and don't plan to! If I need a tool he has that I don't , I will go buy it! Bobby

Well on that note, here are some words I live by:
"I swear by my life, and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
Life has taught me never to loan money to friends or family unless I'm willing to give it as a gift. Rarely does it end well if there is an expectation of repayment.
I don't ask for favors and will only accept them when I know I can/will either pay them or pay them back. The fact that they even offer puts good will in the bank.
More often than not, I limit my favors to folks that are always helping others or have offered help to me whether I take the help or not. Sometimes I offer a favor/help to someone just because I like the cut of their jib or because their project interests me.
All that does not mean I am not a charitable person. I do help the truly needy when and where I can, but will shun the freeloader.
Lynne I feel for ya. Have to say given the agreement made at the time you lent her the money, 8 years is a long time to wait for drips and drabs. Then to see that person spending the money they should have paid me on things not required to live? Been there, done that. At least I didn't have to see them at work every day.

The coffee is tasting very good today! Good morning everyone!!
I have been to Bangkok to see the Dr.'s, all 3 of them, for my three month check-up. Everything is great! PSA-0.0! Lymphnoma is still in remission! All the Dr.'s were very pleased and happy!
So now packing up for our trip back to the states. Getting excited! Get to see the MH I bought sight unseen! A bit nervous!! But am assured everything is in order and she is ready for our adventure! We fly out of Bkk on the 25th, and get into PHX airport on the same day!? 26 hour flight! We are on a really fast jet!! Hahahahaha!! Our trip is taking shape, we will take a short shake down run down to Tombstone, Az., and see a good friend of mine, and take a day trip to Mx. Not going to Algodones, as it is too far out of the way, and Gordon is not in Yuma! Hahahaha! Then we are off to S.C. to see some of Jira's family! From there, it is all still in the works, but Niagara Falls is for sure! Then back to see my family in Illinois, and take care of some personal buss. Then on the way back out to PHX, we will take the northern route, weather permitting, and see Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Yellowstone! And then down thru Utah and Arch's, then to Vegas if we have time. If we are strapped for time we will cut down thru Page, and stop to see the N. rim of the Grand Canyon! It is up to my DW and MIL, their choice!!! I have seen most of the places, but a few have just driven by, wishing I had time to stop! So it will be fun! We are flying back out of PHX on the 22nd of April.
Everyone have a great day! Rail!

Morning Everyone, on second cup and discussing our exit plan from this dysfuncional place! Got the car finished last night and not taking on anymore projects. Going to call the welder I dropped off the aluminum step I ran over and broke, if he doesn't have it ready today I will just go to Camping World and buy a new one. 3 days to mig 3 inches of aluminum is a bit much, they are a little too laid back here for me! I have to go to Camping World anyway to bring back the second set of wrong plugs for the genny. Am getting to that as soon as I finish this coffee , then wash the MH and start packing up. I want to be on the road in the AM. Hope everyone is well or getting there! Bobby

Morning everyone.
Yup we passed hip school. This was our third attendance. I offered to teach some of it and Janet said she felt like sitting in the corner with a dunce cap. One of the requirements before surgery is to attend the class. It is a round of physio, occupational, anesthesiologist, internest reviewing the general health etc. Also some blood work, ekg and a series of xrays are done. We are organized to pick up some loaner equipment and final instructions from the physio therapist.
Had snow last night. Predicted for the next couple days as well. We can use the moisture as we have been in a drought condition for the last 5 or 6 years. Only down side is shoveling the sidewalk and pad as well as getting the truck dirty going to town for groceries. Oh well!!!
Hope everyone has a great day. Brother and SIL are coming over for dinner tonight. I am the cook so will not be bored for the rest of the day.

But our Clouds do not bring rain. 5th year of a drought.
Coffee is great.

Good morning.
Quiet and overcast here today. Warmer than you northern folks but I won't rub it in.
Bacon and something for breakfast. Really doesn't matter what as long as there is bacon. And coffee.
One day closer to being free of this S&B.
Have a great day everyone
