Good Morning Everyone;
Great day yesterday. Spent most of it relaxing. Today is going to be spent getting Janet's motorcycle prepared for travel. Will move it from the top deck to the floor and put the windshield on.
Winterhaven is neat but small as mentioned. Jimmies grocery is supposed to be quite interesting especially for a small store. Have not been in it but it has been said it has everything you need and some things that you would not expect in a small store. We shop mostly in Yuma less than a 10 minute drive. Frys, Albertsons, Walmart, Sprouts, so great selection. Have not gone to El Centro recently but they have a Costco with great prices.
We tend to fill gas in Yuma before we go so adding fuel in CA is not necessary. Have not been in CA since they added the huge gasoline tax. We travel on the CA side on the way home but our range means we can observe the gas prices but not have to fill. Each time we see the posted price we congratulate each other on filling before we enter CA.
Sunlight's a wasting so off to do my tasks before it gets really hot. I think I am coming out of the turkey coma. Appetizer talk on the M&G thread have piqued my interest in food again.
Have a wonderful day.

Tomales and Rodeo were mentioned so I have to tell everybody this.
Pecos Texas is....
Home of Escapee's Tra Park Campground .
Home of the first and still existing rodeo.
Home of a tomale factory.
(they also have a zoo right next to Tra Park)
Tomales are a must get item when stopping at Escapee's Tra Park CG.
(also sold by the bag full) best eaten for Sunday lunch just before going to the ice cream social .....
or if just passing by , still stop for the tomales.
My name's not Johnny Cash but I've been everywhere too !
And I rode on his tour bus in 1989-90

Catching up on the thread. Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. We're in TN now for a while.
Popeye, do tell more about your association with Cash. Were you on a whole tour in '89/'90? If you were at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis in March '89, we may have met backstage. Cash's management was involved in my career at that time.

Evening,
I haven't said anything
but haven't been feeling well and am back in hospital.
I have a internal bleed somewhere and will have procedure's tomorrow to find the cause. I've had 2 plasma transfusion and am going to have a blood transfusion shortly
I guess we won't be leaving Sunday. The docs are telling me maybe next week.
I ant's holding my breath
If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck.
Tim

So sorry to hear about your medical set back. The good news is you have DRS. that you are familiar with. Prayers sent that they can find where the bleed is coming from and correct it. Keep us posted.

Tim, sounds like you have very good luck to me, think if this was found out on your way to Yuma, strange Dr's, no one knowing your history, etc.! Let them fix you up, and get everything right, then you can go to Yuma! Prayers coming your way for you and Joe! Yuma will be there when you get there!

Tim,
Rita and I send our prayers for a speedy fix and recovery. You need to quit with all this medical shenanigans. The gooodmorning group needs you healthy and here for your insight on the problems that crop up.

We played twice this week at the 9 hole in Rio Vista, Tx. this week and we played today at the Keene, Tx disc golf courses. Two separate city courses.
Today it was all about watching the red ant piles and dodging pygmy rattlers. They were everywhere today. My driving sucks but my putting keeps me in the game.

I’m not much on the luck theories. But I do appreciate good fortune. So count your blessings that this happened before you got on the road. It looks like the next ten days are going to be perfect in Yuma. It would have been terrible to have this kind of great weather and have to be in the hospital.
We’re pulling for the fixin’ and the getting on the road.
