Hey guys!
Somehow I'm not getting notifications when people post. Checked my settings, it says it's notifying me. Guess I'll just have to come in here more often to see what's going on.

40* and clear skies again. Tea tastes good. So is the dry Special K. Weird I know... but I like it dry and crunchy better than wet and limp!

Tim, goodness! You poor guy. My heart really goes out to you. Sounds like you're quite the trooper and keeping your chin up. Lesser men would not be as brave.

Lloyd, I'm glad the big boss called ya. Sounds like they were making progress but it was all background work. Still think the donuts are a good idea, even if visible work wasn't shown. Glad they're able to say to you, that they know you're well familiar with what needs done and they don't have to explain it. Still... wouldn't hurt to show Rubi off, right?

Doc upped my gabapentin last week. Started it on Tuesday, and I think its helping. Which may be enough that if I am indeed having seizures, we already know a med that works for me with very few side effects.

Having that sinus CT scan today. Honestly hoping the doc goes, 'oh well there's the problem, that's why you're having migraines. ' Not holding my breath, but a girl can dream....

You guys ever hear of "pink noise"? It's like white noise but it concentrates on blocking out higher frequencies and concentrates on lower ones. Some recently published studies have discovered that pink noise is the best for sleep and memory retention, as well as helping people with hyperacusis. So I downloaded an app and had pink noise going on my phone while we slept. Asked Allen how he slept last night, and he said it was one of his better night sleeps. Me, not so much...1.5 donuts just before bed, messing with my blood sugar. But anyway, I'm gonna keep testing the pink noise thing in my headphones when I go out in public to see if it helps.

Cut up a turkey and roasted it yesterday. Today I'll take the bones and make turkey broth. YUM. Also, found some super easy recipes to make beef and chicken Pho. Love how that soup tastes and its so healthy for you.

Check back in later... thanks for everyone who's keeping us updated on Tim.

Charlene

Afternoon,
Currently 44,

First thing I want too Thank Gordon for being a sound board for me, its been a tough few days with all the little problems I'm having. He's called me and helped me thru this ordeal. Been going in and out of Afib 3-4 times daily. 3 Blood transfusions,2 plasma transfusions Blood sugars checked every 4 hours, insulin injections.
I've got 6 different docs trying to get it figured out and its hard too keep it all straighten out. The test I had this morning was a camera I swallowed down by the heart to see if any clots were present and to take measurement's for the possibility of having a watchman installed. (Info video @ watchman.com)
I am a prime Canadate to have one installed. If approved it will possibility eliminate the possibility of me having a stroke by 90%.
I will not have too take Coumadin because of the bleeding it has caused, Although I will need to be on it for 45 days before
they can install one unless I start internal bleeding again.
Last night I had to go relive my self @ 2:00am and one of my IV's got caught on the towel rack and came apart and blood was everywhere I was surprised how fast it came out of me.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and thoughts sent my way. I have been lucky to be able too take Holy Communion daily.
Thank you,
Tim

ps Yuma will be there when we get there.

Tim:
Wow , what an ordeal you're going through , hope they can get you straightened out soon.
(I had a nurse take out an IV needle without using a gauze pad and squirted all over the walls , floor and nurse ! It's a good sign of adequate BP )

(Maybe you should tell them if they don't git 'er done , your friend Gordon is coming over with his sawzall to see what he can do for ya. ...if that doesn't work tell 'em you have a pontoon boat (2?) on a lake too full of fish.)

Charlene:
I used pink noise to set up my sound systems back in the 90s......
Of course it had to be at 120dB for best results .
(pink noise equal energy in every octave vs white noise = equal energy at every frequency ...... octaves contain more frequencies as the tone goes up so white will sound more "harsh" to you. If you asked anyone that had to sit through 15 minutes of pink at 120dB , pink was pretty harsh too )

I know TMI but don't think you'll be operating at a volume level for it to be that noticeable...

All the rest of you:
Winter's here . Keep your stick on the ice !(Ask Gordon)

Good Evening,

Talked with Joe on the way home tonight and he was on his way to pick up Tim. Sure Tim is ready to be home. Sounds like 45 days of Coumadin and then the Watchman. They do a lot of these at work and the patients seem to do fine with them.

Joe thinks he might have had some food poisoning. Just what he needs. Hope they both do well and soon.

Duct tape, the best tool in the tool box.

Night all, Lynne

Tim,
Hang in there brother. We are here for you when you need us. Rita and I continue to keep you and Joe in our thoughts and prayers.

Fridge is in and working great. I still have to trim it out and fill in a gap above where we had to take out a cabinet. Took the doors off, laid it on its back on a skid. Lifted it up to the side window by the coach with the tractor and slid it right in. Had to take off the quarter round molding and saw one edge of the opening.along with the cabinet over head. It sticks out 7" further than the old on but it is not ungainly. The water line was a snap, cut a piece of plastic tubing happened to keep the fitting that we took off the old line and it was the right fitting. Turned the water on and viola, water to the ice maker and no leaks. I have to come up with the pieces parts to keep the doors closed when traveling, have the idea but haven't gotten the material yet.

Sure looks like they were taken in the kitchen display at Home Depot!!! LOL

Looks good Frank. Rita and you will enjoy the residential.

Depends how you had the camera turned. You can take the picture, put it in a graphic program and turn it so it is upright, then save it. Post the saved picture.
