No news is good news

Charlene I realy feel for you with the headaches. Last week I tried my new migraine headache RX. It worked but I didn;t feel like my self for two days. I have several friends in Florida for snowbirding. Last year A camper was backing into his site and backed into their class A. Just found out a 5th wheel came into the park after dark and hit their parked SUV. Prayers appreciated for Sue and Al. She is in the Fort Meyers hospital with pneumonia. Will keep Sally and Roy in my prayers. Take care All. Sue is in the intensive care unit. This is the best place for one on one care.

Nice finds Harvey,

Martha and I got out for a nice round of disc golf this afternoon. It was really wet on the course though. We got 2 1/2" of rain in the park and Corpus Christi got the same in some places.

Last night we drove into Corpus to see Texas A&M Islanders Basketball. We got in for one price and got a double header. First the women Islanders and then the men. I really enjoy college BB. Both teams won against their division one opponents the Houston Huskies.

We went to BB games frequently when we lived in Fayetteville, AR. Kinda missed it.

Everyone have a great upcoming morning....wait, it is morning.

Good morning all!

51*, overcast. Rained all day yesterday. Sun should come out today.

Glad to here Tim and Joe are up and getting around.

Harvey, those are some good finds at the flea market. Are you going to make a run to see Quartzsite?

Have a great day all!

L.

Lloyd I’m not a Quartzite person. It’s something most people need to experience a couple of times before they die. I was there last year and that is good enough for me.

Most of the vendors have spots at the new Swap Meet in Yuma and then there’s Wallies World and the SuperStore. Plus there’s lots of RV specialty stores in town. I needed a mini rocker switch for the coach and auto parts stores all told me to go to Amazon. I went to Al’s RV store here in the Foothills and they had four of them in stock.

Weather’s perfect one more day here in Yuma. This neighborhood is perfect for bicycle riding and walking and we do both. You have to be tough to winter in Yuma, we got this.

Good Morning,

At least for 3 more minutes here. Coffee was good and Jerry picked up some honey bacon the other day that was absolutely delicious! We had picked up a new toaster the other day so I did a bacon sandwich for breakfast. Yum! I Love Bacon!

Casino Cruise yesterday was with high seas so the trip was not as pleasant as it could be. They keep doing turns once they get far enough out to gamble but the turns are rough and they warn you to stay off the stairs and hold on with each turn. We all agreed we would not go again.

Talked with brother this am and MI is getting a storm. 8 inches 30 miles away even thought he had just 1 1/2 so far, and winter storm watches out. It's coming your way Terry and Popeye, get the shovels ready. Sorry!

Harvey, I love honey and it's what I sweeten my coffee with. Barely use raw sugar anymore except for baking pies and cookies. I buy from a local guy and his spring honey is different than the summer honey. I like both. Look forward to what it will be like out there in Yuma.

Lloyd, you have a lot of nice toys. Never enough though are there?

Lynne

Just spoke briefly with Tim. They are on the way to the hospital. Joe may have a bad case of the flu or pneumonia.

We had good news about the repairs yesterday.

Didn't have to take the toilet off, after all. It was one of the bolts inside the tank that was leaking.

Got the dryer running again. Took more time taking it apart than it did replacing the bad components. I'd gotten them wrong; it wasn't a sensor but the magnets that keep threw gas valve open.

Went with Allen to play disc golf yesterday. That was nice! First time I'd played in a few months. Didn't do too bad.

Into every life a little rain must fall. I've been in a drought except for the shoulder thing, well, and the eye thing. For almost a week now I've had intermittent pain in the left eye. Yesterday it bothered me a couple of times, day before, must about all day long etc. This morning it was bad enough that I agreed to go to the doctor about it.

First we went to the Urgent Care center in the Foothills. I opened the door and took a step inside. Double doggone darn place was full of sick old people. I backed out and told Glenda that neither one of us needed to be in the presence of a bunch of sick old people.

So we went to the eye clinic on Fortuna in the Foothills. It wasn't full of sick old people but just old people, the only ones there under a hundred it appeared to me were the workers. I got one heckuva an eye exam.

The good: I don't need glasses And the cataracts while there only need to be monitored with a checkup every year or so. I guess cataracts are a contagious thing, get them from being around old people which is what I'm all about since coming to Yuma. And the eye pain was all about a piece of steel embedded in the top of the eye and wearing the heck out for the top eyelid.

I'm sure glad eye doctors don't do foreign objects in eyes the same way old sheep herders do male sheep to keep them forever young. But I will admit some concern for a couple of minutes. "Getting inside my head" was a concern.

The bad: it was all good. The dilation is gone, as soon as the nurse said four hours to rest of the day, dilation decided it wasn't going to be here any longer than absolutely necessary.

Plus, think higher math here, I was able to ask a real expert to explain how stumbling into an awning support and being knocked to my knees could change my eyesight. Prior to the encounter I was using 225-250 readers. Since I don't need readers for anything. I can read the small print on the iPhone without any issues.

He explained it was a far east thing. Japanese monks do it with their novice priests. They get them in a trance and then blind side them with a mallet. Enlightment happened. I told him I was considering a business plan of mallet optometry. The agreement was I was crazy, he is nuts.

So, which one is the driver disk, and which one is the chipping disk? Interesting!

Haha. Depends! Forehand or backhand? Hyzer or anhyzer?

There are golf courses all over the U.S. that share parts of their course with disc golfers. We also get stuck in sand traps, and have to pitch out. Sometimes it's really difficult, just like with ball golf. We all dread landing at the foot of a high trap wall!

Ouch. Play it back and pitch?
