Good morning all!

SAM, overall that sounds like a good trip. Yes, lucky you tried the new dentist!!!!!!!!

Charlie, it is Beaver Lake Campground in Custer, S.D.. Sorry, I don't have a recomendation for shocks. At the FMCA rally there were 6-7 shock companies, everyone had the best. :-) Imagine that!

Rail, welcome home to Mona. Get some sleep. On our water heater, the board didn't recognize that the burner was lit, and kept shutting the gas off. (no thermo coupler on these new ones). Found the best deal on a board at Dinosaur Electronics, and having spent a life time around circuit boards it appears to be much higher quality than the original.

A ton of rain yesterday. Pond siphon kicked in, which takes a lot of rain. High chance of rain everyday in the afternoon as far out as I can see.

Today is trailer day. All the of load is ready (Jeep, motorcycle and bicycles) now it has to be loaded. Need to fabricate bicycle tie downs, and front tie downs for the Jeep once I know location. Hope to complete that all today, tomorrow I have a bushog job, and Sunday is the last day to pack, hitchup etc..

Getting excited about being on the road west. Sure hope we stay out of this odd weather that has been everywhere in the country.

L.

Good Morning;
Cloudy and cool this morning. Great sleeping weather. With the window open we can hear the occasional rain drops on the roof.

Spent yesterday taking care of a bunch of cedar trees planted a couple years ago. They are still small and hiding in the taller grass but they are growing. Gave them lots of water and cleaned some of the grass away so they should do a bit better.

Today I am working on odds and ends around the yard. Will be leaving it for a couple weeks so trying to prepare so it will not be overgrown when we get back.

Picked peas yesterday. Janet made a great salad from them. Going to be more to pick today. Beans are starting to get big enough to pick. Will be looking at them very closely today. We have small watermelons on the vine. Some are the size of lemons so we might have a good crop. They will get some water today as well.

Welcome to Stan and Jira. Blowing out the burner tube is a cheap option for trying to solve the propane issue on the fridge. Doesn't take much debris to make it inoperative.

Updated GPS maps in preparation for the trip. All are up to date. Not that there is a lot changing in the road network but it does add the construction zones so we get a bit of warning. Still not smart enough to route us around them so we still get stuck in traffic. Too bad it does not warn you when you plan the route, only warns you a couple miles before you encounter it.

Lots of road construction around us this year. Seems like no matter which direction we go we encounter flag people stopping traffic for no discernable reason. You can see through the restricted zone and there is nothing happening but traffic is stopped. When completed it will make the roads better and with better access our property value will be enhanced. YAY!!

Sam - pleased the blockage was found early. They should have non invasive measure to try to solve the problem. Friend of ours had a total blockage on one side and they operated on him to clean it out. Opened the artery, scraped it out and then stitched it back together. His was found when he collapsed and was in serious condition. The operation saved his life. We travel with them on motorcycles quite often and are planning a trip next summer. Nice to be able to do that.

Good luck with the placement of vehicles in your trailer Lloyd. Ours always looks really big until we start putting stuff in it. Does not take long until space becomes a premium. We decided to leave the car at home this time so will have space for other stuff. LOL Going to move the bikes to the bottom so have to manufacture a clamp for the chocks. Doing that on Monday or Tuesday. Should be quite easy and then we will start loading.

Heard a saying yesterday that I am going to share: "Friends are the chocolate chips in the cookies of Life".

Have a great day.

A little tag to your saying Gordon;

"No such thing as too many of them.......chocolate chips, or friends."

Good morning everyone!

Some times life is a B....

Discovered that while we were on vacation some A H... stole about $2.000 of our lawn mowing equipment out of our shed. Made a police report and put in a home owners claim. Looked on Face book market and Craigs list to see if our equipment was for sale. Will follow the police womens recomendations for better security. My daughter is upset because her bike got stolen. She has Autism. Probably will sell the stuff for drug $.

Goreds, I did the same thing for many, many years. I was the production support leader. On average spent 2 nights a week with some sorta issue or maint..

SAM, dang! Sorry those crooks got you. Hope they catch them, and or the insurance pays in full.

On schedule to leave Monday west bound. Just over 2,000 miles here to Cody. 6 days to make the drive. Have 4 attractions planned to visit in route. Will post pictures!

So sorry to hear that. If they catch the person, police should have he or she apologize to your daughter in person to show how their actions affect people, My son has autism so I know where you are coming from. Hope the bike and your other stuff gets replaced soon.

Side note: In High School, a troubled teen was introduced to my son. He had such an impact on her that she is now in college majoring in helping disabled kids. She even took him to the prom the same year she met him.
