Good morning!

Rail, I got to climb under there when home. Over the years I have spent a bunch of time under there, and do not remember access between the cac and radiator. It should be sealed as they want to make sure the air goes through and does not bypass. But somehwere there must be a place large enough for a bird.

Ron, I also did that trip in the coach, and yes it opens up a scary point of view!!!!! When we first broke, I called Freightline support and they thought the clutch had died, and suggested I pull the relay and permanently engage the fan. Luckily I decided to take one more closer look at the fan (I had gone about 4 miles since the last looks at the fan) and that is when I found it had come apart. The mechaniccs concern was the constant engaging and disengaging caused by the radiator being plugged created a lot of wear and tear. Of course with 400hp and 40 feet in front of it we could not feel itt or hear it.

Well, got to get moving. Forgot to mention we are now in the central timezone.

Got a plan to do a little sight seeing today, will see if that works out.

Have a great day all!

L.

Good Morning;
Great news on the repair. Have been thinking the same thing about checking the radiator for debris. Being at the back of the bus will be in the turbulent air where all kinds of stuff is kicked up. Have noticed on the road there is all kinds of stuff that has fallen off of loads. We have lots of hay, etc being moved so will be climbing under to see what I can see. I have been washing it out with the pressure washer each time I wash the coach but . . . . . That plus the note that Lloyd made about a WGO that was in for debris on their coach.

Warmer today so planning on loading the bikes. This is early but the long range forecast does not look good for riding much before heading south.

Everyone have a great day. Those on the road be safe and everyone continue to feel better.

OK - went out with a borescope and did a brief inspection of the inside of the radiator. Everything I could see was really clean. No debris at the bottom either.

Good evening!

Yikes Tim! That stinks!!!! Keep the hooks in the fish.

Gordon, you said you looked in the radiator. Did you mean between it and the CAC?

Good day today, 364 miles, with a 2 hour stop at a roadside attraction. The Nebraska Archway spans interstate 80 in Kearney Nebraska. It is a musuem dedicated to those who moved west, starting the the fur trappers to present day. Fort Kearney was the kicking off point on the Oregon trail, which forked to the Mormon trail, and the trail to Sacramento.

Check out he pics of the wooden device with grears. The mormons made these. They were along side the wagon wheel, and as the wheel turned the gears turned and tracked the mileage. A conestoga wagon odometer in the 1800's.

Good Morning Everyone! Coffee is so good today!

Dang, Tim! That sure is a nice looking Northern though! Had a buddy hook himself right in the lip, like that! He was biting the extra line off after tying the knot, a big bumble bee flew by really close, his reaction was to swat at it with the fishing pole, After we all stopped laughing, we had to cut the barb off with some old needle nose fishing plyers! There was a lot of screaming and cussing, and laughing, going on, that's for sure! We were out on the lake in a small fishing boat, so the tools we had were what were in our tackle boxes!
Glad you are feeling better! !!

Lloyd, I have drove by that museum many times, never stopped! Looks very cool!

Ron, great Pic! Enjoy!

Gordon and Lloyd, my radiator stack in Mona is enclosed in a thick metal case, looks like it is one piece, from the outside, even the shroud is made out of the same thick metal! No way for anything to get in there, that I could see! If I ever have to take it out, it will be a job for my mechanic for sure! I bet the thing weigh's a ton! Pluss, being a side radiator, it would have to come out the bottom, unless the side panel is hinged! It would be a very big job, for sure! It was done by the PO, and he added the electric fans, and I have never seen the gauge past half, or ever heard the hyd. fan kick on?
Hope it stays that way!

I saw some big mango's on the table this morning! Mango smoothies anyone! Wow!

Everyone have a great day! Rail!

One of Rail's comments sparked a memory .

One of the main reasons I started RVing is after having to pass by so many things I'd rather have stopped to check out on a tour.
(I do regret that)

I stop a LOT these days.....

Remember Seals and Crofts ?
You may never pass that way again....
FORCE YOURSELF ! You'll thank yourself later.

OH , Lynne
The Delorme Maine atlas and gazetteer has a listing of all the campgrounds.
I'll get some of the 50amp listed ones to ya.

(I didn't remember the prices at Bayley's , but thought it around that.)
In their defense , I've don't think I've seen a place that had more extras provided .

Trolley rides , Full on site restaurant , lobbie tank included. Live bands , huge level sites etc.
Pretty much think it could be co$tly at any of the big resorts here .

Bar Harbor/Acadia area look interesting?
(150 miles Down East from me , that means up the coast deah!)

Rocky coast or inland lakes preferred??)
