Good evening everybody,
Happy Thanksgiving Gordon & Janet.
Hope everyone's staying safe out there. Charlie & Martha, sounds like you got out of there in the nick of time. Good luck with the wedding.
Tim, thanks for sharing the pics. That car's interior is very close to mine. They did soup it up a great deal didn't they. I noticed one item that I also have the original of......the glass triangular bottle to carry extra coolant or windshield wash fluid in. They are hard to find. I do hope I can get my car to shine like that one!
Going to get cold here starting tonight, 27* for a low... (boooo ) lookout Jerry & Lynne it's coming your way. It finally quit raining this evening, we're saturated. Beans will be coming out freeze dried now.
Have a good night all.

Good morning!

Michael is here, windy, thunder, and hard rain. The eye appears to be tracking just south of us, however we are getting hard rain etc for being on the good side.

It is 4:20 am, all the commotion woke me up.

So far so good. Don`t see any tree damage etc, however raining hard.

Watching the damage on the weather channel, a 1/2 mile of a freight train blown over, imagine the force!!!

The eye is now 40 miles north west of Columbia SC, somewhere about 60 miles from us and appears to be headed to pass us maybe 30 miles away. 50 mph sustained winds around the eye, gusts may double that.So the fun stuff is yet to come.

Lloyd, Hang in there!

We were far enough east of Michael's path to avoid any damage. Overnight we had 20-30 MPH winds and no appreciable rain. A quick look out the windows this morning reveals no apparent damage. We are now in for 3-4 days of sunshine and 80 degree weather.

Hurricane Michael came ashore about 250 miles west of us with 155 MPH winds when it made landfall. Major damage there. I am sure the media will have plenty of photos and stories. Currently 80 miles of Interstate 10 west of Tallahassee, FL are closed for debris removal.

Good Morning;
Prayers for the folks who bore the brunt of Michael.

Lloyd - hope the worst is past you and all you get is done.

Charles - happy you missed the "storm".

Tim - happy you passed the pre op and are on schedule.

Our family Thanksgiving went really well. Janet is an excellent cook and the meal was wonderful. Not much in the way of leftovers. I am in the process of making turkey soup. And there is pumpkin pie left overs!!! Going to be a wonderful day.

Have a great day.

Hi All!

Doing well here! Very soggy. The eye came closer than we thought, maybe 20 miles. Passing now. Lots of rain, winds not bad, however it is still a tropical storm.

Thanks for all the best wishes!

Gordon,,,, I am craving turkey. Of course we have a while till thanksgiving.

Our friend John plans to leave here tomorrow, Myrtle Beach bound. Assuming the roads are all open, which should not be a issue at this point. He plans to winter in Florida this year.

Good Morning Gang,
I 2nd what Gordon said about those affected by Michael.
We got a very pleasant surprise this morning about 1:30, Stash came home none the worse for wear. He has been gone for about a week. He is clean and looks well fed, so someone was taking care of him.
Gordon,
I will be calling you in a bit, I want to go talk with Pat first.
Tim,
Thoughts and prayers for successful procedure and a quick recovery. Your site is all racked and waiting for you.
We leave in the morning for our cruise, so we will be offline for the next week.
Have a great day all,
Frank
