Good evening all!

Ted, so happy to hear things are going well. Prayers and best wishes!!

Yep, we have a new neighbor from Texas. No cowboy hat, but you can tell forsure when he speaks. Cute little Dog with him. Very well behaved, out of character!!! LOL

Harvey, you and Glenda are next. Come on down!!!

So, really, really nice Jeep ride today. A lot of tough obstacles, Rubi did them all! Rides so much better with the improved, and raised suspension. We went up a couple ledges,,,, that were hard to believe. She walked over them.

Electra, is it cold up there? Come on down to Yuma,,,, it is cold here (for Yuma) but I am keeping in mind that it is a lot warmer than a lot of other places.

Janet a Gordon, safe travels!!!!!

L.

Good morning everyone! Coffee is very good today!

Ron, glad you made it to RE, I had no doubt you would! I have had the experience that if your MH or truck ran good, started good up till you changed fuel filters, then it started show symptoms of starting hard, it was the fuel filter was bad out of the box, or installed wrong! I have seen the rubber gasket left off, doubled up, filter left loose, or just a bad filter!
What Harvey said is still a good idea to check, the fuel line from the tank, may have rubbed and is letting air in and the fuel will drain back to the fuel tank, and your filter is not full, so cranking the motor till it fills and the air is purged out, before it will start!
On Mona, when it started to start hard, crank and crank, it was the fuel filter up on the motor had worked loose, and was letting air in when shut off, and the fuel from that point drained back into the tank, as that point on the motor is higher than the fuel level in the tank! Since Wes and I never even knew that filter was there, (hidden very good), till I started chasing the lines, from the motor back to the tank, I saw that elusive filter, way up under the intake on the side of the motor! It had stains down the side of it, where fuel was leaking out, and running down the side of it! So it had to be that way for awhile!
On my semi with the N-14 Cummins, it had only one fuel filter, on the side of the motor, and when it did the hard start after a service, filter change, you could pull the filter off, and it would be half full, so the motor would crank till it was full before the motor would start! It would be a loose filter, small O-Ring doubled, or left off completely, or a bad filter, happens, right out of the box!
I suspect you got a bad filter, or the filter swap was done incorrectly, leading to your hard start!
When you get rested up, I know the guys will want to figure out what the problem was, and fix it! Let us all know what was the problem was, as we are all wondering?!
Enjoy the warm weather, the cool snap you have now is just a freak of nature, and the winter will be warm and great weather!

Lloyd, the off-road pic's on FB were great, jealous, for sure! Enjoy! And you guy's enjoy spending Ron's money, making that little Tracker a beast!

Everyone have a great day! Rail!

Today Glenda got my appointment changed to the 11th at 10:15. It was supposed to be on Wednesday the 9th but this weather glitch put us in a holding pattern. I just don’t do well in the cold. Today I working inside the shop and the thumb got cold and from then on it isn’t any fun. We’ve got tomorrow and then it will get better weather for awhile.

Today we went down to the Verizon store to change over from AT&T keeping our IPhone 7’s. It seems our phones aren’t doable on the Verizon system. We were looking forward to better service 1 to 2 bars at Thereabouts with AT&T with a Verizon tower right across the road from us. We really don’t want to buy new phones and we love the Apple products. I’m sure there’s an alternative, just got to find it.

Ron if your Tracker has the 2 liter motor and 5 speed trans with the 2 speed transfer case it’s like my 2000. For me it’s a momentum fun ride. It is designed just backwards for 4 X 4 performance. The motor has little torque and the gearing in low range is too fast for really rough stuff like Ruby is getting addicted to. Blue does great in normal 4 X 4 stuff, sand and mud she can hold her own. But when you need to crawl, she needs to move faster to be in her power band. I have 235 75 15’s on her. That means she’s about ten percent off with the speedometer, says 65 mph’s and doing 72. It also means any kind of grade change and you need to down shift into 4th, mountains, she’s got to be in 2nd and 3rd. I love her anyway, we ran to Phoenix and back last February from Yuma, over twenty miles per gallon at 75 mph or better, four adults.

We’re looking forward to Yuma, icicles are for photos only.

Edit: 1” snow in the morning, double doggone darn!!!!!!!

Glad Ron made it to the repair clinic that I'm sure is forming as I type.
Sometimes the easiest fix can be the hardest to find........

For some reason , all of that bad weather sounds pretty good from here ?
I hate it when winter doesn't stay where it belongs.....it just " Ain't Right" I tell ya !

Good morning all. Cold here this morning. 34 on my front step. Warming up nicely though. Rested good last night. Turned in early, up at 4am.

My Tracker is a 1996. Two speed transfer case, 1.6 engine with 5 speed manual. Buzzy little thing. 4000 rpm at 70 mph. Lloyd told me yesterday there is a Tracker group here in Yuma that might be taking trips less extreme than what he and his jeepers are doing. Rock crawling would be hard with so little clearance, small horse power, standard trans, no skid plate. Like you said Harvey, this thing is made for sand and mud. Tracker seems to be adding mileage when being towed? Is this normal? Can it be fixed?
s
Pet store today, going to get sweater for Pebbles . And a food/water bowl that does not tip over. And recon of Yuma town to see what is where. You know, the important stuff like where is Walmart?

Got to run, Pebbles is telling me it is time to take a walk.

Okay Ron!!!!!! You’re in the groove, five am in Texas, actually 3 am in California but Rivers Edge is on Yuma time, country song in there somewhere.

Two Walmarts, one out by the Foothills and one in town itself, country boy part of me can’t remember the streets but know the landmarks. Also Yuma has a Sam’s, no Costco. There are two swap meets in the area, one is like visiting the tent in Quartzite and the other is like visiting a swap meet in San Antonio. I love the Hispanic one with all of the real life bargains. If you go there shop for your alfalfa honey.I’ve paid as little as $7.00 liter and seen it for $12.00 liter a couple of booths over.

East Yuma has a Wally’s world, not the Walton type, a real deal Wally’s world. It’s where you can get stuff you can’t buy anywhere else onesy twosy, you’ll spend a hour there I guarantee. Snaps, hooks, bolts, screws, bearings, catches, neat stuff that even Harbor Freight doesn’t have. Yuma has a Harbor Freight too.

We’re sitting at 35 degrees with freezing rain and an inch of snow coming later as the temperature drops during the day. It turns out that the sales rep at the Verizon store LIED to me about our Apple phones. He said they wouldn’t work on the Verizon network. Our AT&T phones are getting unlocked today and we can go to Verizon when we want. Verizon online confirmed he LIED and I’m upset, I might be old, but I’m not that old where you can con me easily.

The Tracker loves 3500 rpms, that’s where the power starts and it will pull to 7000. There’s a Suzuki/Tracker specialist in Camp Verde that has all of the stuff to make them rock crawlers or just powerful 4 X 4’s, takes credit cards. I’ve never noticed if my speedometer reads the tow miles. Blue has a lift kit so she isn’t as low as stock. Also she was sold originally in Wisconsin so she has some cancer. The diamond plate panels under the doors that the kids love isn’t there for show, they hide cancer rot.

Good Morning Gang,
Brrrrrrrrrr. As Ron said, 34*this morning, going to low 60s today, only high 50s yesterday.
Rita made her Mac & Cheese for supper last night of course with bacon mixed in. Had Ron over and had a nice visit. Wardrobe supposed to be in today for the trailer. Tomorrow is golf day if it warms up enough.
Charlie,
Looking forward to seeing you and Martha.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Good morning!

I saw Ron's lights on at 4am, I got up because the heat pumps were just running non-stop. Temp outside had dropped below their usefulness. Switched to gas, and went back to bed. Enough of this already.

Sitting here a moment ago and the lady in the golfcart stopped out front, went to the back and read the elec meter. We have been here a month!

The trick will be connecting with the Tracker group, we usually see them out on the trails a time or 2 over the season. We saw them last week, there were more than 10 of them having a good time.

Have a great day all!

L.

Good Morning,

Cold again last night here in Yuma. Ready for the warmth all the residents keep talking about. They are frozen too.

Exit 16 Ron then take a left and down I think three light s Sam's will be on the left. Several Walmart's and some of them are nicer than the others. One on 24th is a mess most of the time. Always looks like Black Friday with stuff all over the floors.

One out by Off of Exit 16 is a Walmart that is a lot nicer and less busy. Fry's is a grocery store here that has some good deals. Get one of their cards for some deals.

Wind is down today. I think that is why yesterday seemed so much worse because it was blowing. Should be better outside today but it is still 37* right now.

Have a good day all, Lynne

Ron, Frys is Kroger and so your Kroger account works just like back home, same coupons, discounts on fuel etc.
