Help...water system problems

I have a 89 fleetwood southwind 32 ft. I filled the freshwater tank and when I turn on the water pump, it drains the system from some sort of drain pipe under the motorhome. I tried playing with the valves on the hot water tank...no difference. I followed the directions in the owner's manual about having the faucets open to fill the hot water tank. To my knowledge the pump is operating correctly. previous owner gave me all the manual to the coach. Any helpful advice would br greatly appreciated

The water might be coming out the low point drain on the water system. Try to find the valve that drain point is attached. Also, the water heater very likely has a by-pass valve(s) to prevent water from entering the WH tank when winterizing with RV antifreeze so you don't pump gallons of antifreeze into the WH. Make sure those valves are set for normal instead of winterizing.
