Hi all, new member from Kansas City

I will apologize now for not knowing lingo and for the stupid questions I will ask. I just bought a 1978 Cavalcade 22' camper and know nothing about it or have ever owned a camper. I have found receipt for new heater from 2009 in it but do not know how to work it. It looks like it has a newer bathroom. Is there a book for dummies, owners manual or even good website I can purchase so I know how to hook up and work everything to make sure it works. Ex. Water hook up? Electrical hook up? Does this thing need a battery or two? What do I do with waste and where does it go after water is hooked up and do I use special hoses? I went to look at this thing during a heavy rain storm so I know the roof doesn't leak. As far as mechanical like wheel bearings, tires, electrical and stuff like that I am good with, being an ASE certified Technician. Hope to hear from you soon, Thanks.

I too was born and spent 18 years on the east side of KC.
Welcome to the forum
Have you tried to Google the year and type of your new toy?? There are hundreds of sites and others bragging about being new owners.

Good Luck

Welcome to IRV2. Here is a link to the TT section where it would be best to ask all of those questions ( none of which are stupid ).

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Congrats on the new rig! I'm sure you will have her in top shape in no time! I would suggest that you post questions in the appropriate areas of the forum for best results.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

You need to get the movie "RV" starring Robin Williams and watch it. It will answer a lot of your questions and give you a good laugh.
