Hydraulic Pump leaking

Just acquired a 1991 Country Coach, Gillig chassis, diesel pusher, 3208T Cat. We have a leak coming from the hydraulic pump (for shifting and power steering), was wondering if it is something we can fix by taking the pump apart and putting on a new seal and/or re-building it?

Coach is in the shop and they are telling us we can't do it ourselves, as it has to be sent out to be sealed or calibrated or ??. I am new to iRV2 and have been reading some of the posts, where it is being done by owners on newer coaches.

Thanks

Had mine done at Freightliner, put in a new one and I don't remember the cost but as usual it was quite pricey.

Finally! The shop got the hydraulic pump back, it has been re-built and will be installed by next week. We should be on the road by the end of June, heading to San Diego....
