I joined the Vintage RV Owner's Club ... now what?

I joined the Vintage RV Owner's Club (on these forums) and all I've noticed is that it shows up under my name on posts. I mean nothing else seems to be "different". Am I missing something, or is there really no point in joining this club?

Your I.D. card and badge are in the mail. You'll then receive instructions on how to do the secret handshake and code words. Wait for them to arrive, then your horizons will open up to wondrous things.

All the other members mailed me a dollar when I joined, and now I'm a Bazillionaire!

No, wait, that was a different club. Sorry.

I have gotten a great deal of good advice here, and a bit of less stellar as well, but mostly very good. Occasionally, I have gotten truly inspired answers to my questions.

I have also gotten the opportunity to share some of what I have learned over the years as well. I hope that occasionally I get it right too, and can save some other member a heartache or two...

And I am new at this game. I expect more to come...

Good luck. Post ideas and ideas, and see what comes back at you.

LOL ... That's what I thought. I was really looking forward to some kind of funny hat too. Oh well, there's always Shriners I guess.

Like the Shriners you can also drive your vintage RV in a parade and even wear clown make-up if you like.

The only point is to have the designation show up in your avatar block. Sorry it's anticlimactic. Now if you become an iRV2 Supporter....well, that gets you somethin'.

If you join enough groups (or in the case of me, create enough groups), you end up with a whole bunch of them listed....even though I've never owned some of the RV's in the Groups listed in my block.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

CG,

Why not create a hat for the group? That way you have creative license and make it whatever you want.

Funny you should say that. I used to own a custom apparel type business and still have everything I would need to do this. LOL
