If your steps will never work again...

What have you found for stepping in and out of your coach that is the perfect size, step length, able to be easily lifted into the coach before leaving, etc.

My BIL has a folding step stool that he has a line on so he can reel it in when departing. He can open the door, open the step and drop it to a standing location most times.

Considering the issues I am having over the water, rehabing steps is the least of my concern. Also, I'm thinking no considering this:

I currently have what I would call a step stool but the drop is too far down for my liking when leaving unit as well as requiring lying down in front of the door to be able to reach it.

I honestly haven't bothered to look at them once I saw they appeared to be critter chewed or something to that effect.
My neighbor kept saying she could look at them and that never got done so then she started saying she would need the schematics on them and I gave her the owners manual to the steps and still nothing ever happened and now we don't speak at all for no known reason.

In your travels around the forums, did you run across this post detailing how to convert your steps to manual control??

You could also install manual pull-out steps. Not everything has to be electric.

"Someone" needs to step up and fix these steps. It's not hard to re-connect and insulate the wires (they're color coded) and just maybe they'll work....If not, follow this troubleshooting chart and fix them. No since in reinventing the wheel....

We have a plastic horse mounting block that works perfect. Since we are usually towing the horse trailer and it is along, it is an easy substitution when it's rainy and muddy out and we don't want to yuck up the carpet pads on the steps.

I had to Google "horse mounting block" to figure out what you were talking about; even though I grew up riding horses, I had never seen the term. I'm thinking a real cowboy would laugh at the idea, but whatever works! 😀😀
