Insuring a "Vintage" Motorhome?
Over 23 years old and "paid for". How do you insure your Vintage Motorhome that books for $8000.00? Thanks in advance!

Just like an older car, liability only. Repair costs would so quickly exceed it's book value, you'd never get it repaired, just written off.

I also have full coverage on our 20 year old MH for $350 a year. They give me the option to drop down to liability when it is parked but I choose not too.

Thanks folks! I'm thinking if the yearly premium is not outrageous, I'd like to have full coverage to at least re-coop the price I paid for the old girl. I mean if it books for 8K and I paid 5K I would like to get something back should something happen (God forbid) that it would be a total loss. Anyone have suggestions as far as a company you have had positive experience with in the past? Progressive perhaps?

Good Sam
We got the insurance on our 1977 Minnie Winnie through Good Sam, and have been very happy with them.

I have the full-timer package on my 32 year old MH and pay approximately $1000 a year for full coverage and the full-timer package, 500 dollar deductibles with disappearing deductibles under Progressive. I also have my daily driver insured under them for just liability, but I'm also under the age of 25. So my rates will likely go down this year come renewal.
