Interesting rig for sale

No idea about the value of this, but kind of like the older top end stuff.

1987 Holiday Rambler Imperial 40' Class A.. Caterpillar Diesel

It was obviously donated, so they don't have a penny in it. Might be a fun rig for someone.

(I haven't looked at it, just saw the ad, no cennection. Thought folks here might appreciate it.)

Tim,

I agree, looks like a great rig! Love these older ones.

Great looking rig. First time I've seen one that old with a bunk above the cockpit. I thought that was something that just started in 2015 or so.

Man I love it, and she looks pretty clean. Don't know about the genie, may be I could switch mine with that one. Mine has 330 hours and looks like new. Bragging just a bit.
Ours also has the bed above the drivers/passenger seat. 1982 PA and I think they were used way before that. not sure though. I have been looking, but have to sell my 64 first.
Thanks for the post,
Tim

We resemble that closely. We're 36' with a Cummins, 1993. A mighty solid no-foolishness beast.

Yes it was, but the body styles are somewhat similar.

^ ^ ^ Funny I saw one of them at the All GM Car Show yesterday at our fair grounds.
I like it. Did they still use the 455 olds front wheel drive?

Yep, all those GMC motorhomes were front wheel drives.

Thought so, I see one parked in the back of a car dealer rear end sitting on the ground. So sad.

Yes, they used the Olds 455 and are fwd. Many over time have been converted to different engines, the Cadillac 500 is a popular one; also the Chevy 454/502 (requires bellhousing bolt pattern adapter). There is quite a following for them and several upgrades have been developed to address the problem areas.
