I have a 85 Elandan that has been in storage for many years and had it out this weekend and in the rain storm found that the awning fabric allowed just as much water to flow through as hit the ground.. Is there something that I am able to spray on the fabric that will give it back its water shed ability. Thanks.

First of all give it a good scrubbing with a laundry detergent. A dirty awning will allow water to get through. If that helps then try the waterproof sprays. I have never used them on an awning but have used the camp dri spay on hiking boots and other hiking gear. The key is that most of them are water repellent and not water proof sprays thus a good soaking will allow water through. I have not tried the marine spray mentioned above.
I ordered a gallon of it. Will let you all know how it works.
I always wash the awnings with laundry detergent before I spray them. They do seem to be getting al little better. Maybe I will get enough coats of spray on there that it will work
