Cool Harvey! I have a steel place like that near here. However you make your deals with the owners wife who works the office and scale.......... yep, I loose they win,,,, but I find nice stuff for most of my projects. They also sell new,,,, so in a pinch I can always spend more and get exacly my need.

Today was a day of rest, right?

Right.

Sometimes it's the little things that will drive you crazy. This morning started off with a list of little things we needed to get a couple of projects done. Two hours and three stores later I had them. So now we have the water filter system for Jane. Water here is harder than a bad girl's heart. Over the last week the water pressure in the coach has went down a little more each day. Yesterday I went into the water supply components to figure out why. Basically screens and filters were plugging up. Today we assembled and installed a filter system that should stop that.

We also installed the new sub panel that will eventually regulate the power to the casita and the two coaches. Right now everything is hither thither and yon with the two coaches only having 30 amp service. Jane's breaker is in the main pedestal out front. Cuz's coach is protected from a breaker inside the casita. And the main power to the sub panel in the casita has its breaker out front. Main wiring is 8 ga. So eventually there will be 2 ga service to the new sub panel outside the casita. 50 amp breakers and 6 ga will feed the two coach pedestals, Jane's plug right now is adjacent to the water supply. Janes pedestal will be moved away from the water supply.

Of course the reason we did the sub panel installation today is we want to have the pressure smoker operating tomorrow. Ribs were 99 cents per pound and we got a bunch so we have to get the pressure cooker going. It requires its own 220 volt circuit out of the new sub panel.

Needless to say, didn't get to work on the poinsettia, priorities, again, double doggone it.

Tonight after supper, antelope jalopena burgers again, the super moon asked for a photo with Miss Glenda and Dozer dawg.

The poinsettia has about 700 bulbs and at least that many zip ties. The biggest issue has been finding bulb sets. We bought the original sets and then quickly realized that we didn't have enough bulbs. Then it got interesting, those bulbs were no longer in stock. And then it got even more complicated as we found ourselves buying sets of bulbs and mix and matching components to get what we wanting. To finish up the blues we found blue colored bulbs that were part of a multi color bulb set. Then we had to remove the outside lens/bulb and place it on a bulb set that used a different base, ended up with three strings molding into one to get er done.

We have only been able to work on the poinsettia in between other work. One of the issues that has taken most of my time has been sourcing materials for the storage building. I found out some interesting things, for instance freight of the components from Dallas is $50.00 less than freight from Phoenix, $550.00 vs $600.00 plus tax. I haven't found any one source for everything I want. That has made it all about compromises.

It's not unlike the poinsettia. In fact the poinsettia is a lot like life. You have to compromise and improvise and then accept the results. Tomorrow it will be about getting all of the lights working together and then installing it. Hopefully it will be what we thought it could be from the beginning.

We got the lights up but there is still more work to do. The gold lights that go in the middle representing stamen won’t light up. We have them to fix and then install. Also tomorrow I will have to tidy up the lights, some of them think they’re in the Heavens instead of on a parade ground.
