Good news Harvey. Now keep bandage on until Glenda says you can take it off.

The bandage is off!!! And yes, today is going to be tough. They’re talking five to seven days 3 to 5 lbs, ain’t going to happen. The swelling has gone away and there’s no pain or numbness.

Last night I was at the grocery store when the cell went off. I recognized the number as the hospital. “Is this Harvey?” Nice young voice asked.

“You got him sweetheart”.

“This is TMC and we are checking to see how you are doing.”

“Finer’n frog hair darlin’.”

Choke on the other end of the line, “say what?”

“You’re not from around here are you?”

Laughing “I’ve never heard that before.”

“You do know there’s only one correct reply don’t you?”

“What’s that?”

“Nothing’s finer’n frog hair.”

I assured her that they had been awesome and there had been no nausea or swelling or dizziness etc.

But I appreciate all of the “do what I say not what I would do” stuff

Neighbor has a leak on a travel trailer roof I’m going to try to help and then there’s the wiring, gotta finish the wiring so I can get after the tractor work.

I've got one of those. Aka SWMBO! She'll baby my butt or kick it, whichever is needed! I had a pacemaker replaced a couple months ago & a stent put in a few weeks ago. When we found a few days after the stent Miss Kitty's roof was still leaking do you think she'd let ME get up there & fix it? God, I love that woman!

Rick you might appreciate this humor. Sunday I was installing three 12 ga along with 3 10 ga wires in a 1/2” plastic flex conduit, about fifty feet. As you know feeding the fish tape was tough but pulling the wire was even tougher.

Then Monday as I was laying there while the doc was moving my arm around as he stuffed that whatever up the artery I couldn’t help but think about Sunday’s fun, and hoping like heck he didn’t break through the wall of the “conduit”.

Hmm, I wonder which job is tougher - feeding wire through conduit at Thereabouts or feeding a wire thru Harvey? And which one involves more cussin'?

I am thrilled to report that I’ve endured my last colonoscopy. It seems that after age 75 you don’t need them. When this last one was clear and they said come back in 10 years, I mentioned that I'll age out enforce then.

Don't know about Harvey, but a few years ago during an arteriogram the Doc hit my femoral nerve. It felt like someone had injected hot oil into my leg! The only thing that kept me from hitting him was the straps they had tied me down with. But they didn't have one over my mouth!
Afterwards, one of the nurses stopped by to check on me. I apologized, but she told me to forget it. She was retired Navy, & said she'd learned a few new words!

Rick, got the tonsillectomy early thirties. I was blessed with one of those oops anesthesia’s where they paralyze you just fine but you’re able to feel every thing. I came to in recovery calling the doc some very unnice names. Btw, if anyone asks, they pull tonsils and the roots are tied up in the your hair roots.

But the loudest I ever got in a hospital was fall of 68, military hospital in Japan. I was in physical therapy for fractured pelvis when a different tech took over and moved things a little further than I was comfortable with and the whole hospital heard about it.

Yesterday I couldn’t take it anymore and started doing light work, driving in tek screws with the impact driver into 12 ga. We’re going 100% today. We’ve got this.

Everyone be aware of the potential for this storm heading our way this weekend. Rail, I think you’re in the clear, Popeye, for you I think it’s got a delay fuse.

They gave dad his last one at 91, took three tries. They told him that was it and he let them know he was going for 100 and that meant more, he gets them about every three years.
