The shades are 95% so they would severely limit visibility. I would also have concerns about the clips holding up to the wind’s buffeting.

One of the issues with Blue is she is a standard 5 speed and while Glenda can drive it fine she doesn’t like it. One of the neighbors let me know their 2000 Vitari can be had for $1500.00. It’s the same as Blue but a lot cleaner even though it has more miles. It also is automatic with the V6. Blue might go on the market! The Vitari has four wheel drive and will be just as easy to make into a toad as Blue was.

Pretty sure I read the locking hubs have to be manual to be able to tow 4 down. Anyway, check the owners manual before buying.

I’m sure you’re correct. I will check. I hope you are still planning on visiting this year. Today I’m going to check out three huge oaks that died last year for milling. If only we had the stuff there we could both be sneezing our heads off with grins.

I was planning a safe room but this is so much better and can be shared even if we’re in Yuma when it’s needed.

Meet Carmen. She has youngest of older grandsons and girlfriend as new owners. She’s a Winnie Six Twenty One, 82 model.

The good news, water heater works, fridge and freezer works, 58,000 miles and runs like a top, and very clean. And after yesterday it’s even cleaner. While grandson and I chased down parts for the waste system along with getting the fresh water system up and working the girls, Glenda and girl friend were nothing but, well, they got after it, doing a deep cleaning on Carmen.

The black water system was broken and disconnected here and there. The valves leaked, it was a mess. I suspect either something came up from the road and took it out or someone backed over something taller than the plumbing hanging down. It took three RV parts departments across two states to get what we needed but we got it.

Today Amazon is supposed to provide us with LED bulbs all around and inside too.

We hope to make a custom trailer hitch platform off the back to carry a scooter along with two bicycles. I have the steel and it looks like tomorrow I’ll have the indoor time. It’s supposed to storm all day long.

They’re going back to OKC Sunday afternoon.

It’s a lot of fun working with a young couple with similar dreams. They’re in their late twenties and here we are in our seventies, fun coming and going.

Life with Jane

Nice looking class C.
Make sure you check that front cabover window for leaks. Also clearance lights.

The clearance lights were replaced, whole units, not just the bulbs. And then they were put back in using Gorilla sealant for the just in case.

You would love grandson. I showed him how to do the first one. Then I left him alone to do all of the rest only checking on him once. He works like you do, very methodical and detail oriented and he did an awesome job.

This morning I made the receiver hitch platform to carry their Yamaha scooter and two bicycles. I had picked up a 1 1/4” receiver and it fit perfectly in the end of the 2” square 1/4” wall tubing we used for the platform insert into the receiver. The reason for the 1 1/4” receiver was that was the size of a bicycle carrier we’ve had for years.

The kids are going to clean it up and rattle can it a brown to match the trim on the coach. They’re pretty excited about it.

We had some issues with the vehicle lights on the rear. I had to replace some connections and use a lot of contact cleaner on others. But we got them working, even fix it tickets these days are expensive.

They’ve made it to OKC this evening and they’re really excited now that they know a lot more about their coach. Carmen is quite a lady.

Monday afternoon we got this picture from the kiddos.

If you look closely you will see the Yamaha behind the bikes. The kids are happier than a tailless cat in a rest home full of rocking chairs.

Love that concrete bucket Harv. You need to patent and market that!
Great welds BTW!

I found a deal of a lifetime on some steel for the barndominium. This is the second load. We’re talking 11 1/2 ga galvanized steel purlins nominal 12” from 10’ To 36’ long.

I must be living right.
