Yesterday I did the surgery on the plumbing and it worked out great, Glenda approved. This morning I’ve got to do the concrete patch. I’ve also got to do some skid steer work for a neighbor, take Glenda’s car in for some work, drop it off, and start my bud’s awning project.
Yesterday we got the forms loose and all of the stakes we could pull pulled. It’s getting exciting around here.
We’ve got a couple of great non-summer days middle of this week. Then end of week we’re back to typical summer days.

The barndominium is just about ready for stick work. I own the steel for the framing already. The insulation guy came by yesterday. We’re looking at the costs of skinning the building will be about the same as shooting closed foam insulation on that skin.
Right now I’m working on bud’s cantilevered shade and as soon as it’s done the concrete should be cured enough where I can start making the dream stand up. Glenda is as excited as she can be about kitchens, especially what she calls her 75 year wait for the perfect working kitchen.
Ron Spradley is chauffeuring Pebbles up for a visit today for a layover on their way to Maine. We’re excited.
If you look at the photo you can see Jane’s bedroom on the far right, west side of building. I was standing on the storm cellar looking due south. Next to Jane’s room you can see the two car garage door.
You can see two stubs at the front of the porch. That’s where the porch starts and works it’s way down the east side. The living area will be from two feet east of the stub by the garage door. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a utility room at the back of the garage.
It’s coming together.

Yesterday Pebbles showed up with her chauffeur around noon time. She is cute. And she is tiny, pretty in as small a package as pretty can be packed in. But she has her world under control. She is a toot.
Ron and I had a great afternoon visiting a couple of locations where his passion, wood work, is being done. I think he was impressed. One of my friends has that magic combination of funds and passion that can make neat stuff happen. It was great to take the afternoon off and just enjoy good company. This morning Pebbles will grab by whatever she grabs him by and they will be off to Little Rock. I will be back to steel beams pair up project at bud’s.
This is the last below normal day for the foreseeable future. Oh joy!

I won’t be able to start working on it until I’m done with bud’s project. That will be next week. My patch is sub-par so the mat in front of the sink in the island will happen. I did the body man mess up, sanded it down to where the filler spot is low and obvious, hate it when that happens.

It will be alright! The matt is a great idea even if you didn't have the flaw. Stannding on concrete is hard on the legs.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday was a great day getting to visit with Harvey and Glenda again, and see their new place and the beautiful new foundation for their barndominium. Hope we will be able to see when completed.
Did not know we were photographed when we arrived. Good idea. The cops always want proof.
Today is 300 to Little Rock. Staying at COE on the Arkansas River, just WNW of town. Might be able to bike on a trail into town.

Great visit. Looking forward to another, whether my place, your place, Yuma, or other.

You can always polish that patch once it hardens a couple more days.
You can get a set of diamond pads for your angle grinder pretty reasonably. A 50, 100, 200, 400, and 800 grit pad set would allow you to polish that area to a point where you wouldn't be able to feel it.

We’ll try that in a week or so. Right now I’m committed to helping out a bud with his cantilevered 20’ X 60’ cover.
I have some stones for polishing granite from back in the day, they might give me a place to start.
I really appreciate your help with this.
