https://smile.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWA2.../dp/B008Z75R3U

Last night we ran to town for some “stuff”. One of the stops was at Lowes for some of those nutsetters. Of course they didn’t have them in stock. So this morning I hit Amazon and of course I can have them tomorrow and at a great price. The old one broke where the shaft meets the tool. One of these days I will learn to check out Amazon first for some things.

If you buy from Amazon and don’t have a venue you support may I suggest Smile. A percentage of your purchase goes to support programs at a majority minority very poor elementary school in OKC. For me it’s personal, oldest granddaughter teaches there, found her place in the world back in school. She makes me proud and a little envious too.

Today will not be a screw around day, northern wet winds all day after a very wet and loud night. I will be making brackets and other work in the welding shop, too old to be in the cold just because I can. I was hoping to put up the other short rafter this afternoon while I still can remember what I learned from installing the first one yesterday. But with the cold wind I don’t think so.

I hate posting on the phone.
Looking good Harvey.
Just be careful! I fell off the roof when I was a young man, it is now just a story to tell but if I were to fall off now, I wouldn’t be able to go outside without being in a wheel chair probably. I don’t go up on the roof any more, not worth the risk!

Edd I will be on the roof installing the sheeting. But I will be teathered so that I can’t fall off the edge. It’s only a 4-12 pitch but I don’t have the reflexes I had just ten years ago.

I appreciate the process. Installing the first rafter was nerve wracking. But I learned and will make some changes and the other three will be much easier and not near as scarey. The same thing will happen with the roof sheets, at first I’ll be like a long tailed cat in a rest home full of rocking chairs. By the end I’ll be comfortable and that’s when I will have to be careful.

Ya think? Tuesday the weather girl is suggesting low of 21 followed by a 22 on Wednesday.

I’m still in the coach with the furnace on making hot oatmeal for breakfast this morning.

We had a good afternoon. Neighbor came over and helped. You would think that by the second one I wouldn’t be nervous, but I am. But we got the last (second) short one in. We’re planning on doing the two long ones in tomorrow.

Wow! Your weather! It seems like only two weeks ago you were in the 90’s!
