We got our 1955 Crown home yesterday, we talked to the sellers and they told us that they never used the stove and we found the tanks have been disconnected. When we rebuilt our teardrop the stop came out, I restored it and added all new hoses. This Modernaire stove may be as easy, but we wanted to ask for any information any one may have on this stove and oven unit before we tackle it. I guess I can treat it the same way we did our last one, remove it and run all new lines and test it before I reinstall it, I would not want to reconnect everything and then see if it works I would fear that we would run the risk of fire, and that is the last thing we want. any feed back is welcomed on this unit

I'm looking for the same information you are (or were). Any luck?

Do you know of any safety shut-off valves that can be added to these old stoves?
