You know, twoboats, I'm looking at that latest diagram and realizing that the auxiliary batteries can't contribute to powering the DC fuse block.

Is there a way to do that?

Thanks Again,

Michelle

Looking at your update.

The converter/charger needs to be powered by the AC breaker box, so it does not run off the inverter. It should only run when on shore power.

Everything else looks OK.

That's the way to do it if you want to have two independent battery banks.

That is one reason to wire them into 1 larger bank. Just put a cable from positive to positive, instead of the combiner. The inverter will have more battery capacity to draw from and function better.

Its not the perfect balanced setup but it has been working for me for 3 years.

>The last lingering question.

I was wondering if there is any way for the aux. batteries to power the DC Fuse Block? For example, could I put some kind of voltage sensing break before make switch between the positive pole of the aux. batteries and the house battery that would swap the source of power to the fuse block over to the aux. batteries when the house battery goes below half charge? The two batteries would never be directly connected. If such a switch exists I have no idea what it might be called. But at least I think it's a good idea.

Muchas Gracias Mi Amigo,

Michelle

BTW, I apologize for misquoting your name. You deserve much better!
