MT,
I don't envy you on that job, Next week I have to start stripping the decals off the 5er, My unit still looks like new, if it wasn't for the shrinking decals. I won't have the luxury of being able to spray the new stripes on, so I will mask them off and use a roller and brush, The FRP surface is relatively flat and smooth, so it should be good. Now to argue with Rita over what colors. She wants loud and bright, I want similar to what they are now. Oh well, time will tell who wins.
By the way, sorry to steal your post, and you did a nice job, are you going to paint on similar to what you took off, or are you going to try something else?
Frank

I love hijacks. They lead to new and unexpected conversations.
Complete repaint.
White exterior with a 2-tone mountain scene.

Sorry, that was a response to Frank's question. I'm not done, but that's the photoshop of my planned graphics. I'm still Goof-Offing the old adhesive residue!
I hope to be done before August.

Yea, I like this too! Suttle, but Appealing!
Although, when I first looked at it I thought it was a big wave.

So , just to get this straight.
You use a projector to shine the image on to the Moho.
Trace it on.
Paint it in with a brush/roller.
I was thinking of painting mine in a vintage two tone style like the 50s trailers , but this looks way better !

Ditto on the graphics... I have the projector (called a Magnajector) that I've had since I was a kid (no it doesn't use a candle for light - LOL) that I plan on using to project this emblem on the front of my Fortress...

Exactly!
No tedious masking or cutting out shapes with an X-acto knife.

Thanks!
Inspired by smcox1's trailer build:

Chrome centers and lugnuts. Or maybe black rims with chrome beauty rings?

MT,
Any of those would set it off, i am partial to polished aluminum myself, have them on both the TV and the 5er. My last TV was red, had the wheels red to match the truck with the chrome trim ring and centercap, a lot of compliments on that.

I wouldn't pay retail on aluminum but I'd grab a set in a heartbeat if found in a salvage yard!
