That's good to know! I noticed when I was changing a tire that the studs on one side had a little L on them, and on the other side they had an R.

It's FANTASTIC!
My parents started with a 1974 Titan (used) and then moved up to a 1978 Titan (new). Those were the days. Sorry I can't be there to help you bring it back to shape!

That sounds awesome! Did the Titans your parents own have the same front end design? Or was it the newer version with a front end like this?

So it wasn't until a couple days ago that I noticed this little linkage had fallen off of the carburetor.

This motorhome has the famous Chrysler 440 with four barrel carburetor. For those of you who don't know I'll explain how they work. So basically these carburetors have two primary barrels and two secondary barrels. The primaries are only for when the engine is running at idle speed and low rpm. As you give it gas and bring the vehicle up to speed the secondaries open up and give the engine even more fuel and air that it needs. That linkage that mine was missing is what connects the primary barrels to the secondary barrels. So that's why the motorhome was able to idle with no issues, but as soon as we'd actually try to drive it it would stall.

I also got two carburetors with this motorhome. Back when it broke down in 2002 the people had it towed back to their property. They thought the problem was the carburetor so they bought a new one to use, and they also bought new plug wires, and distributor. It turns out the main problem was just the fuel pump. We bought a new one, hooked it up directly to the battery and ran a fuel line to a gas can. Now, I think somebody actually did try to fix the carburetor, but the linkage they tried putting on was too long and they gave up. So I found that linkage just sitting on the intake manifold. I put on a different linkage from the other carburetor, so now the secondary barrels can open up how they're supposed to, and I think I'll be able to actually drive this motorhome without too much engine trouble after that.

You'll also find the original red and orange shag carpet in some spot. Unfortunately most of it's gone though.
