Need a radiator

So my radiator is leaking and either needs to be recored or replaced. The recore is going to run 525, or 580 for a high efficiency recore. I called a few other places and it seems no one can get a new one. My only recourse is to recore it.

Anyone know where a replacement could be acquired? It is a 4 core unit.

I thought 525 was a bit high but maybe not. Any thoughts?

I have a 1990 P30 chassis with a 7.4l 454 under my 1991 coach.

Brian,

See http://www.millsupply.com/ftp/stepva...-workhorse.pdf

This is Mill Supply Co, that has lots of parts for step vans (the GM P-32 RV chassis is kinda like a stretched step van).

Thanks for the link George. Unfortunately they do not have the radiator I need. They have ones that are close but not the right one.

I called the rad shop this morning and told them to go ahead with the recore. Can't use the coach without a radiator.

I know it is a little late now but I bought a new high effeciency for less than $500 last fall for my 88 Itasca, same engine. The new radiators are hard to come by though. The listed radiator was the wrong one so had to exchange it.

Make sure you clean out the a/c condenser if you have one. These can restrict the air flow if packed with bugs, grass, etc. A water hose or air hose works good when used from the back side and blowing towards the front.

Before you install the recored radiator run some automatic transmission fluid through the transmission oil cooler that is in the radiator. This will get rid of any crud that may not have been flushed out and save you a transmission.
