Need help finding Water Pump Switch

Hello everybody

I have a 1971 Winnebago Brave and I cannot for the life of me find the water pump switch. I want to run water through the tap, I'm not even sure if the water pump is working or not. I checked ALL OVER the kitchen, bathroom and driving console and am going NUTS. PLEASE HELP!!!

-Rose

Mine is on the monitor panel. But being a '71, a PO could have removed it or moved it anywhere. Hopefully it wasn't wired direct to power; check for power at the pump to be sure.

Let me be the first to Welcome You to irv2!

Rose, the only thing to do is follow the wire from the pump, see where it goes thru the floor, and hopefully go on the inside and continue to follow to the switch? I would run a known hot 12 volt wire to the pump, just to make sure it works. Then you could always wire in a new switch if all else fails.
Good luck! Rail!

follow the yellow brick water pump

i think i sent you my message via a 'thank you' button thaw was weird; anyway, where do you think the actual water pump would be? also, do you know how the water drains? not the toilet stuff but the sink drain and shower drain? does the water collect in some kind of tank or does it just dribble out onto the ground somewhere?
thank you!

Well Rose, the water pump will be a round, about 4"s long, usually silver, and have water lines running in and out of it, also have a 12 volt wire going to it also and be in the compartment closest to your fresh water tank. The "grey water" tank is where your shower and sink water goes, and should be next to the "black water" tank, and should have a separate valve to dump it. They are on the drivers side of the MH, in a compartment that is closest to the bathroom!
I take it your are at home with this new to you MH, so if there is no one around to help, then I would suggest going to your nearest dealer or sales lot, and see if they have someone that can show you these things in person, it will help you very much, to get familiar with these things! Good luck! Rail!
