Need help IDing this mean green machine

We have quite an ugly duckling here.

I have searched online till I'm "green" in the face but have found nothing about it. It says Handi-Van and a plaque on the front says Chassis by Ford. Any experts here care to chime in?

It looks complete, if not a little rough inside.

To see the full sized picture, click the image at the link below twice.

Can't help on your identity crisis, but that looks like a very cool find. I really like the vintage MHs

Chris & Connie! This is going to sound a little strange, I saw one of those in 1969 while on R&R out of Viet Nam. My point man and I were in Austrailia We were in the Brisbane area and you might check on campers out of Aussie land. I showed the pic to a friend of mine, recently retired, and he thinks it was built on the ford chassis. Is it Powered by a ford 360 0r a 460 v-8? I do know Ford made a handi van in the 90's, we used them in the oil field. It is pretty cool looking and good luck with it!

Hi Chris, Im pretty sure you have a Champion made btwn 1974 &76, does it have a rear door, if I recall it would swing up with struts to hold it up, if it does it is a Champion or Titan made by Champion, they were the first toy hauler MH. they are very rare. I hope you can post more pics.

Thanks for everyone's help! So far though it remains a bit of a mystery and we have not been able to find another MH that looks anything like it. We'll keep trying though. Next, I am going to track down the owner and see what they can tell us.

In the meantime I have posted more pictures here...

Looks like it could be fired up and driven away. Very cool.

On Google streetview it's in a different location on the same property, so it must run to some degree.

I remember them from when I was younger. I think they are also a Ford Handi-Van. I found a pic of another on the blog linked to below.

A neighbor had a mid-60's Champion until a couple of years ago. The grille was different than your pics, but overall, very similar.

I've seen that picture before and based upon the background and the van seen behind it, it's possible this is the same MH I photographed.

Possibly, but in the picture on the blog you can clearly see the "Handi-van" insignia on the side.
