Should be right in or near the upper radiator hose outlet.

In cylinder head, just under exhaust manifold....could be either side...That's if the manifolds pass over the spark plugs.....the other manifold type pass under plugs....

When you do, remove the wire, ground it, then turn ign on while watching gauge....if gauge rises, gauge and wire ok...don't leave the switch on longer then to do a quick test....if the gauge doesn't rise, it's the gauge or wire...Let us know the results or take a pic of intake manifold without the air cleaner on...

There were thermostat housings with two sender holes....maybe factory aluminum one was warped, so couldn't get one, and used the cast one.....there are two water passages that pass thru the intake, from head to head, at the front and rear, so if not there, then what I'd do is remove one of the cylinder head pipe plugs and install sender there....have you found the wire that would be used?...also a gauge takes a different sender then one with an idiot light
