Thanks anyways... Probably needs a tuneup and the cold weather with propane has an effect on it I'm sure.. I love this Rig drives and rides like car , but this propane gen has me perplexed enough to be thinking about a conversion to a Diesel .. ( I could do myself for about 8500.00 for a new 7.5 ) That and replacing the carpet I hate all carpet is really all this RV needs to make me happy..... Not to much really :-)

Propane burns cleaner than gas so plugs may be okay but pull one out and give it a look.
If it has many hours just buy a set and change them while you are at it.
Propane has a vaporizor to make sure gas is what is getting used.
In cold weather this may not work well so look into that part of the system.
You may need to provide some way of heating it.
Call a local propane shop for additional help as they may have already been there and be able to provide some gadget that will help.
It sounds like a mixture problem and with a standard unit it is carb adjustments but propane us a different animal and without seeing it I cannot give any other advice.

LP
LP is in the tank as a liquid .......when used it turns to a gas.
If its very cold out.....the LP will have a prob turning to a gas. Try a heater on the inlet or intake....a pre heater.
And if it wont run right with air cleaner on, its running to rich. Again......LP not vaporising fast enough.
I assume you can adjust the mixture like a gas engine right?

I found an excellent "troubleshooting guide" for my Onan generator here, (you will need the model number of the generator):

Where did you last get a propane fill-up? If it was in the South, butane is often mixed with propane down here, and it burns very badly in colder temperatures.
