Need Unladen Weight - 1989 Ford/Damon Escaper

We just bought a 1989 Damon Escaper, Class C, 26' (Ford E-350 chassis, 460 cubic inch fuel injected engine). We need to register it in South Dakota and the unladen (or shipping) weight is needed for the registration. I don't see the placard inside any of the cabinets and the tag inside the driver's side door only has the Gross Vehicle Weight, which is not acceptable for the South Dakota process. Does anybody own this vehicle and have the information I need? Seems this vehicle is a bit rare and I can't find the info online YET. This is so frustrating! This info would also be on the original Certificate of Origin, which I don't have either.

Thank you,

Mindy Storen

You might check with the SD department of transportation or whoever is in charge and ask what proof they will accept. Sometimes you just need a weigh slip from a scale, others will take a sworn statement from you. If the latter, you could look at similar sized Class C RVs on Ford 350 chassis and use that number. Good luck!
