New 1984 Allegro

I have started an upgrade on my old 84 Allegro started in the engine compartment replaced a 454 with a 5.9 24v Cummins and 47RH auto trans w/31% overdrive I removed all electronics on the engine and replaced with P7100 manual fuel pump and lift pump. Motor home empty weighs 10,000 lbs and 12,000 loaded am in the final stages of completing the conversion. Next will be the inside.

That Cummins will serve you quite well. With the weight pushing empty, a turbo should help a bit on the hills.

Did you re-enforce the frame rails to handle all that extra torque? A couple extra stiffening box beams should do the trick.

Good luck, and I'm not seeing any pictures. We love pictures.
