New to us camper/ week vacation

We bought a 1977 and i worked on it the past 5 or so months doing ALL KINDS of stuff to it and finally got to go on a full week 2 campground trip in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and had a great time.

This ole camper did great, needs alot of cosmetic outside work but functionally she did great and after all my work everything functioned fine on electric or gas

i had done a bit of outside work already and we decided to red stripes and front window cover are to much so when i finally get to paint the whole rig we think a dark charcoal lower full stripe and a medium siler upper full stripe and a full white paint the rest of the way around and some dent fixing it will look pretty good so next summer i have alot to do

link to some pics i took while on my 7 day escape from the grind...

I have a friend I believe with the exact same camper. They are very nice. I am jealous however that you had a week long camping trip. I hope some year I get to do that!!

Seems a bit strange to be home now but i can say our real first long trip with it was so nice, trout fishing in the mountains drained away the normal daily stress even though i didnt get a bite is was so gorgeous and the camper felt like home while we were out

I took it on a weekender the beginning of august but that wasnt really enough time and i saw all the other stuff i had to fix on that trip which helped to make this trip so nice.

the thread in here about the 78 nomad has the exact same layout inside as this one does and man his is nice!!!!

Oh and i met a guy that his wife is number 600 something of Sisters on the fly and we had a nice conversation, he asked about my old camper and said they were restoring one like mine that is a 69 model nomad

i enjoyed talking with him.
